My son and his new wife married on Thursday and chose to take over the hotel for the reception. Living locally we have visited several times over recent years so knew to expect excellence and we certainly received that. No request was too much trouble. The service throughout by all staff was excellent. You can imagine we arrived and just... More

Just returned from a 3 day treat for my son, daughter in law and grandson. Had rooms in main house as near to dining room as possible so baby alarm would hopefully work. It didn't - not hotels fault. Room we had were superior I think and were spacious and reasonably well appointed. Be careful of the window sash in... More

We had an overnight girly break here. We were upgraded to a garden room, super underfloor heated, large double shower wet room bathroom. Comfy sofas and direct access to the garden and outdoor heated pool. Nice mix of modern stylish in an old house. (But terrible pillows, take your fav from home) We were on a luxurybreak.com package and we... More

We arrived on Friday 19 September for a two night surprise birthday break. We were shown around facilities and relaxed in lovely classic room. Beautiful grounds and only 30 mins to Bath. My wife had a facial and a massage at the spa. Kelly the therapist was lovely. Breakfast was of a good standard with plenty of choice, we ate... More

We've just had a lovely weekend in Wiltshire and Somerset. We stayed at Bishopstrow as it was one of the few spa hotels that take dogs, and ours had to come with us as there was no dogsitter at home this weekend....daughter was on holiday elsewhere! The approach is lovely, up a one-way drive leading to the fairly impressive building.... More

Stayed here with a travel zoo voucher £169 for 2 people inc 2 course dinner and breakfast which is good value but I wouldn't pay full price. Dinner was okay, convinced I was given mascarpone instead of goats cheese. Husband's duck was tough. Spa was nice. All staff were friendly and polite. Drinks quite pricey £26 for 3 gin and... More

This hotel has an impressive setting in large grounds, perfect for weddings and spa guests. Unfortunately we arrived at the tail end of a wedding, so ther were quite a few guests around. Although our room was at a reduced rate and was generally of a high standard, the maintenance of the room could have been better, a tap needed... More

We found Bishopstrow House when we were looking for a suitable destination for a quiet and relaxing short break. The hotel offers special deals during quiet periods and we secured a rate of £149 per room, per night for a three night stay from Sunday to Wednesday (including breakfast). Our experience has been SO good, I am writing this review... More

It was my parents 30th wedding anniversary and we staying at centre parcs so this seemed the perfect place to celebrate as a family. Unfortunately we arrived for dinner at 7, so couldnt experience the full extent of the beautiful grounds and surroundings. I know it is a hotel but the drink/cocktail prices were ridiculously high. Single spirit £5-£7!!! Cocktails... More

Was a bit worried after reading some reviews that we would be unhappy with our room- couldn't have been more wrong! Our room is fantastic, stayed in the Pemberton deluxe room and it's gorgeous!! Roll top bath, enormous bed, walk in double shower and our own outside access to a small garden! Incredibly attentive staff we got a small tour... More
