Drove 5 hours to be told the room wasn't available because the roof had fallen in. No communication at all to give us any warning. Quite relieved to have to find somewhere else though as the pub had a loud disco and didn't appeal at all.

Booked for my girlfriends birthday as a place to rest our heads after a busy day so we didn't have to drive home. Got to the hotel and was told that the room is not available due to a safety issue! We we're not called or told about this until our arrival! Poor communication! Not a very nice place, looks... More

We arrived at the hotel and after a 4 and hour hour journey i went into the bar to ask about parking, the pub was very dark and the barmaid directed us to the car park, which was free. Once we parked the car we followed the sign to the hotel and went into the breakfast room where the sign... More

How the proprieters have the nerve to call this a hotel is beyond me. We were visiting Warminister in order to attend a friend's surprise 40th birthday. We arrived at 4pm yesterday and went into a really loud pub. We thought it was the hotel bar at first. Then it dawned on us that no, it is a pub with... More

Breakfast was good, room was nice and clean and central to town but a bit pricey. Management and staff very helpful. Went to visit The Tank Museum and Bath Museum really good. Did not mind the cold weather Will recommended this place.

We booked this hotel on line and it was easy to find if you find Warminster, it is on the main through road, went inside and asked the barmaid instructions to the car park, which were easy enough to follow. the room itself was quite spacious but the window was screwed shut because the sash had gone, but they did... The Anchor is a bit rough round the edges, but a pleasant place to disappear whilst your better half is shopping! Customers & bar staff very friendly. As we were just visiting for a football match, we did not eat or stay here. However the surroundings indicated that this would be a reasonable place to stay.

The GOOD... Pleasant staff. Super Breakfast. Clean and spacious bathroom. Convenient private car-parking. Comfortable double bed (room 3) The BAD... Wonky tv reception. Nothing done to reduce the traffic noise outside, nor the excessively loud pub clientele-eg. no thick curtains, no internal glazing etc. and The UGLY... some of the karaoke singers voices!!
