Live music played at unbearable noise levels!!! Noise continued in room above B & B accommodation until 4a.m. The room itself was very basic and the pane of glass in the rotting window frame appeared likely to fall out at any time and did not stop the loud music/shouting entering from the street below. Plus directly opposite taxi rank which... More

Stayed at the Anchor for three nights at easter . Our room was nice and cosy at the back of the building . A lot of noise at night till late as the hotel has live music on most nights but we knew this on booking. Breakfast were very nice and plentiful. One thing I was not happy about was... More

A nice enough place to stay for one night. The pub downstairs is a little intimidating to turn up to when in full swing, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was fairly large, but full of furniture- I was travelling alone, but had a double bed and a queen bed in the same room. There were... More

As I sit here in room 4 on a Wednesday evening at 10.00pm the only thing I can hear is the Karaoke immediately below my room which I'm informed is booked until 12.00 midnight. Earlier, before it started all I could hear was the traffic in the main road outside. Locals seem to favour very loud motor bikes. There double... More

We didn't read any reviews before booking, which I am glad about as it would of put me off booking. The B&B rooms are above the pub so some noise is expected but we stayed on a Friday night and the noise ended at 11.00pm which we were warned about when we checked in, after which it was reasonably quiet,... I stayed for 6 nights on a course and I found my room was clean and comfortable, I had no problems with internet connection and the TV was good. I needed a table for my study and that was provided. The staff were all friendly and polite , the breakfast was good value. The bar is a little noisy, however... More

Booked in for 2 nights as our regular hotel was full. On telling 2 locals where we were staying, both laughed and said good luck. On checking in a very pleasant young lady, gave us a list of things they I think people complain about on a regular basis. 1.Although we're listed as a hotel we are in fact a B&B 2.it's... More

This place double books bands then refuses to pay cancelation fees caused by her incompetence. There attitude will be spread round the Wiltshire music community. My advise is don't play there if they treat bands that have been booked like this.
