We have dined at the Prince Leopoldo Inn on two occasions before. We took some friends along because we had found the food to be very good, however , on this occasion it was a very mixed experience. The salt and pepper squid was like something from a frozen food shop in orange breadcrumbs. The fish pie was dry with... More

Arranged to meet family here as halfway between us (1 1/2 hrs each way) to celebrate a birthday. Having looked at menu on website and seeing vast choices including options for vegetarians and children at reasonable prices were shocked when presented with a Sunday lunch menu with children's portions at £8.75. There was no heating in the restaurant area and... More

After scouring the internet to find the perfect B&B near Longleat Safari Park, we decided upon the Prince Leopold Inn to be our over night respite. The Inn is well sign posted making it easier to find and is a short drive for the Safari Park which was our main purpose of travel. Once we had arrived we were met... More

We visited the Prince Leopold for lunch over the weekend and were not dissapointed. We were made very welcome and were given a table over looking the river (must be lovely to sit out in the garden on a sunny day, no such luck for us !) Five of us all ordered something different, no mean feat for the chef.... More

Stayed here one night for work. Cracky bed but good to sleep. Small hot shower. Nice beers available and other drinks. Small hot shower. Nice food and good breakfast. Living room setting with fireplace for a nice evening in. Superb staff!

We had a two night stay for a long weekend away, and chose the Prince Leopold, and we were ever so glad that we did. Warm welcoming staff, lovely room, fantastic food and bar - we cannot recommend The Prince Leopold highly enough. We originally planned to eat at The Prince Leopold on the first night, and try Warminster or... More

Visited to celebrate a birthday. Roast meats good, good selection of veggies. Vegetarian chose the mezzo platter which was very disappointing. Plain cous cous, dry pitta (had been frozen I think) raw halloumi ( was expecting grilled), indeterminate aubergine dish- altogether a disastrous choice. Then found something really hard in chocolate mousse. Have had a much better experience here before... More

We stayed for 2 nights having bought a deal through Living Social and therefore really good value for money. We upgraded to a superior room which was small but adequate and very clean with lovely fluffy towels which were changed after our first night! The staff were friendly and really keen to oblige. The restaurant and bar areas are modern... More

We spent 2 nights here because I was attracted by the Living Social voucher and thought it would be a good base for visiting Salisbury. Although there are plenty of signposts to direct you from the main road, it is in a small community, backing onto a picturesque trout river, which you would never know was there otherwise. Our room... More

We stayed at the Prince Leopold for 2 nights whilst house hunting in Wiltshire and could not have found a more peaceful yet welcoming spot for our stay. This was September and mid week, so out of season and thus the place was not full but the location off the beaten track and the calmness created by the gentle murmur... More
