Stayed here for new years Eve last year and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the place was. The bed was huge an comfy and we had our evening meal in the restaurant downstairs and it was great. I had the seasons and was cooked to perfection. We spent the evening in the bar/club area and although not packed was... More

My family and I went here last night for a "Christmas family meal" and we all enjoyed the food we got. The service was good and the two girls that served us were good at their jobs, friendly and pleasant. In regard to the food we all had, the only problem anyone had was that the sprouts on the Christmas dinner... More

Our room was modern & well appointed. Restaurant was OKl... a bit blingy, waitress although pleasant enough was young & untrained... probably would have been better to just eat in the bar. Downsides...no elevator, no parking available you have to find somewhere out on the roadside or up the road in public car park. Noisy if you want an early... More

Just back from an overnighter and we were well impressed by the Anchorage. Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly, welcoming manner. We were directed to our room on the first floor. There was even an offer to carry our bags. The room was quite small but was warm and cosy. The furnishings was quite new and contemporary in... More

A charming hotel in the middle of this small seaside village. Lovely ambience, modern but with period features. Good entertainment in the two bars by the looks of the weeks program. We were only there on a Tuesday night and caught music in one bar and poetry in the other. The Poetry was very entertaining and a great night. For... More

Really impressed with the anchorage. Have to admit was a bit apprehensive as i thought it would be noisy but it wasn't. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was very good and reasonable. Rooms were spotless and the beds were really comfortable. Would return to the anchorage and recommend it to anyone.only thing was room 209. Lovely view but... More

Top class room with best beds you could hope for. On the down side the live music didn't stop until 1:30am and was as clear in the room as it was in the bar If your looking for a quite place go elsewhere.

Room we stayed in was of a decent standard but the main attraction was the lively bar with great food, drink, atmosphere and nightly entertainment. Hard to believe that so many people would flock here as Portstewart has only got population of around 3,000. £70 per night for twin room with sea view and complimentary tea, coffee, bottled water and... Having decided to spend the August Bank Holiday weekend at one of our favorite locations, Portstewart, we booked into the Anchorage Inn at the top of the promenade... Our plan was to have our meals in the Anchorage as we had previously enjoyed a great lunch on a previous visit. We were really looking forward to this trip but were very... More
