Had not expected to eat out at 18.15 in the evening. Stuck to know where to go and hit upon the Anchorage. What a lucky choice. Superb value for money. They are promoting a new menu so we got all three courses for the price of the main. Could hardly finish the generous portions of excellent grub. I don't often... More

The hotel offers great English breakfast choices and the restaurant has very good quality food. The are offers that you can combine starter, main course and desert with lower price. The rooms are not that big but very clean with nice view. The hotel location, just next to the main road by the sea, is a great advantage.

Great location and reasonably priced place to stay in Portstewart. The staff were really helpful and the restaurant and bar facilities helped to make or stay enjoyable. There's a bar and club downstairs which is mixed generation.

Lovely setting and nice decor. But door staff ignorant, rude and unhelpful. Very noisy at weekends as nightclub upstairs. The rooms r lovely and most staff very helpful. But come evening the door staff seem to be like pit bulls. And treat people like cattle. Lots of police presents so must be a hotspot for fights

This review is on the Anchor bar, not on the food or accommodation. Stopped in here after a bracing walk along the strand on what was by far the coldest and windiest day of the year so far. There was a roaring and very welcome fire lit in the bar between very pleasing log and turf stacks. Bar was clean... More

First of all I'd like to say what amazing value off season. My room was spotless, warm and definitely has an up market look to it. Staff are professional, well turned out and courteous. I ate both diner and breakfast here, both were lovely. I will visit again, many thanks.

Stayed for two nights as we got a very good deal and we were looking for a break. We have been going to this area for a number of years and have used the Anchor Bar for food and the odd drink in the past but had never considered the attached hotel. Very pleasantly surprised on our arrival. Room was... More
