I try to get to Portstewart once or twice a year meeting friends and playing the local golf courses. I always stay at the Cromore Halt. I rang ahead to say that I was arriving late (11.30 pm) from the ferry and the night porter was expecting me. A request for a beer and some crisps was met with an... more

My partner and I stayed in the Cromore Halt for one night while flat hunting and had a lovely stay. The room was well furnished and in perfect condition, as was the en-suite bathroom. We ate down in the bistro and had a nice dinner - wasn't overly expensive and drinks weren't as much of a rip-off as I expected.... more

A group of 16 of us stayed here for one night in mid February. The rooms were spacious and clean as were the bathrooms. Good range of programmes on the satellite TV and decent food in the bistro. As i say, there were 16 of us and meal times required a bit of effort by the staff to accommodate us... more

I went there with my girlfriend for a romantic meal on valentines day. After leaving we decided to go back in and use the toilets. The manager then said to our face in a condescending manner we were only there to use the toilets. Customer care? the manager needs to take a lesson in it. It ruined my girls valentine... more

We wanted a quiet location near the Giants Causeway knowing we would not want to drive in the evenings. Cromore Halt has a restaurant and Bistro so answered both criteria. We had a warm welcome at the desk and Irene helped with the luggage. We had a 'quiet' room on the main road. Other rooms face a large filling station... more

Brilliant B&B / inn. The Cromore Halt is not really a hotel but still a great place to stay for a few days. Unfortunately the location isn't great being opposite a petrol garaga but apart from that, the place is good value and the breakfasts are absolutely brilliant. Plus the Cromore Halt also has a restaurant which is always full... more

My Boyfriend and i had planned a wkend by the sea, and had originally intended to stay in Ballycastle, however the original B&B i had bkd turned out to be an absolute disgrace! So, on a whim we walked out and drove to Portstewart, where we found the Cromore Halt, and decided to try our luck at getting a room.... more

A decent enough place to stay, more of a small inn than a hotel. Pleasant rooms, but the first room we were offered was beside the huge extractor fans, we were moved but found the road noise excessive from 6.30am. The bathroom was clean, it offered some toiletries but the towels were tiny. The food in the restaurant was good... more
