There is not one bad thing I could say about this lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly and looked after us. Room was very spacious, spotless clean with a lovely sea view.Food in the restaurant was excellent and we also had a great breakfast. Would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel to others

Stayed in January 2015. Firstly I wouldn't say it's "luxury" accommodation as described however it was a lovely stay. The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable and very clean. It's in a great location close to the harbour and the town. The bar has a lovely open fire and a very relaxed atmosphere. The staff were lovely also. Wifi was... More

My Wife and Myself stayed in this property 13th. to 15th. December, we don't usually post comments online, But thought we needed to post something in response to the comments posted by jsb02. We have a healthy suspicion that jsb02 may well be the party of Hairdressers that were,(unfortunately for all the other guests staying) staying there at the same... More

we stayed over the christmas period, perhaps thats why we had such an awful experience, the owner had checked into one of the rooms and had been drinking in the bar to the early hours then proceeded to cause chaos in the corridors with other guests. the breakfast was undercooked, the soda and potatoe bread wasnt cooked at all, the... Went here for dinner on New Years Eve. We had prebooked so there were no issues in getting a table. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The service was excellent and the food was well prepared and tasty. My only complaint would be the wine list could do with a few more... More

We stayed here overnight on a road trip of NI and RI. We chose the York because it was within 15 minutes drive of Bushmills and the Giant's Causeway and we were able to get to these easily and early the next morning and beat the tour buses. There is nothing over or underwhelming about this accommodation and would be... More

Had a very pleasant over night stay on a voucher deal in the York. Staff were courteous, helpful and very friendly. Our bedroom at the side of the accomodation block was quiet and equipped to a high standard. The good sized bathroom (including bath) was very clean. Only niggle was that the controls for bath/shower were on the wall outside... More

Our second visit to this hotel on a voucher deal. My son and I enjoy staying in the York for the comfort, good food and friendliness of the staff. We are always made very welcome and as I my son has a disability the restaurant staff discreetly deal with his needs and make the dining experience most enjoyable. We hope... More

Stayed a couple of nights in September this year. It was a great location facing the sea with a golf course in front of the hotel. Food quality varied from awful to reasonably good. Once we got to know the menu we knew what to order. The wifi didn't work in the bedrooms so we had to go to reception/... More

Just had a long weekend at Portstewart and a few minutes walk away was The York. Had a great cooked breakfast on Sunday morning overlooking the crashing waves across the road below. There were very few diners so were seen to very quickly. Our order of a full cooked breakfast (one of everything) plus tea came quickly too. It was... More
