During my 3-week trip around Ireland I stayed in 14 B&Bs and this was definitely one of the best. This is a true gem and the owners have imbued the house and its rooms with a wonderful character. I wish I could have stayed longer than one night as I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous, with... More

We were staying at ballycarton for a wedding. Due to severe delays due to our flight we didn't get there till nearly midnight. Patricia the owner was waiting for us with a big smile a warm welcome and a mug of tea which was most welcome. She showed us to our rooms a twin for our two teenage girls and... More

We've just returned from a one night stay at Ballycarton House and cannot recommend more! We were greeted by the lovely and hospitable Patricia who showed us to our room and then kindly drove us to Drenagh Estate where we were attending a wedding! A lovely touch that no hotel would offer! The room was spotlessly clean, there was an... More

This is the second time we have stayed at Ballycarton House although there was a large gap between our visits. As soon as you arrive at Ballycarton House you feel welcome, Patricia is an amazing host and can't do enough for you. The rooms are excellent with everything you need. There is a lounge for guests so you are welcome... More

My wife stayed at Ballycarton House14 years ago and when we decided to see our Irish family, there was only one place to head for. This was my first visit and I found it faultless. Firstly, we were greeted by Patricia when we arrived for our 4 night stay and she showed us to our rooms, and even though it... More

The house itself is amazing, seating in a lovely setting. The rooms and facilities were excellent, and the host, Patricia, delightful and quite friendly. We only stayed for one night, but definitely felt like spending more time there.

My review is a bit late but I feel I owe it to the great service to write my review. We were greeted at the door with a warm welcome and offered tea upon arrival. As we were just dropping our bags off we asked for a taxi number to get back to the wedding reception we were attending. Patricia... More

We stayed at Ballycarton House for one night and we were made to feel so welcome. The facilities were excellent and the whole place was full of character. The breakfast was great which set us both up for the day. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Ballycarton House!

We were given a lovely welcome when we arrived. The room was very nice and there was plenty of space. The garden was great for our 4 year old. She loved the swing and the fish pond. The breakfast was great and very filling. The honesty box for drinks at night was a novel idea that I haven't seen before.

I recently visted in Aug '14 for a friends wedding and booked Ballycarton as I was unable to book a room at the hotel where most of the wedding guests were staying. I can happily say that I am very glad that I missed the hotel rooms and booked at Ballycarton. Upon arrival Patricia offered me a cup of tea... More
