The exterior is cute and quaint. The restaurant inside is very beautiful and the food was wonderful and reasonably priced. Our room was practical and clean. It is not state of the art or modern by any means but it was generously sized, spotlessly clean, fit very well with the setting and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable, shower... more

Arrived to find a lovely looking inn set in an idyllic situation. Food very good and well priced served in a cosy restaurant. service good and friendly. Bedroom OK, smallish but adequate, a bit old fashioned furniture. Unfortunately, I then began to notice that the housekeeping element of this establishment was somewhat lacking. The carpet along the corridor to the... more

Dont listen to the bad reviews because the Blue Boar Inn was Magnificent and youd be mad not to at least stop in for a pint if you are near stratford upon avon! The Blue Boar Inn was an amazing place to stay! My family and i had been travelling around the country and we were doing last minute bookings... more

We had a quite large room which, although a little dated, was clean and had a comfortable bed. Unfortunately, our room was overly warm because of a faulty radiator and opening the window meant that we were woken at 7am by activity in the carpark. On the second night this was fixed. Another problem was that the tv was wall... more

After booking we saw some bad reviews on this site so were a bit uneasy. However our worries were unfounded. Our spacious room was clean and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was one of the best we have had and was cooked freshly to order. We may well return again. more

My wife and I spend an enjoyable evening in the bar, followed by dinner in the resaurant. We both found the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The food, both dinner and breakfast were good wholesome food. We found this hotel excellent value for money. more

My girlfriend and I stayed here and found it fantastic. The staff were brilliant and really made us feel at home. The food was lovely and the wine list was impressive. This too can be said of the choice of ales and whisky. It is very rare that we are in this part of the UK, but will definately visit... more

Myself and my family were booked in for a wedding which was being held locally. All I can say that the bedrooms were dirty - and the bathrooms - well there is nothing positive I can say about them, as they were filthy, they looked like they hadnt had a good clean in years and I dont think it had... more

The wife and I were visiting nearby friends, and the Blue Boar is pretty much "the only game in town" when looking to stay in this relatively remote area. The pub itself is lovely, a good old-fashioned "local" country pub with friendly staff, good beer and good (though unadventurous) grub. We had lunch and breakfast here and both were very... more

Stayed in a group over the weekend. Laid back, friendley place with nice staff. The food was great, biggest cooked breakfast we've ever had, the best sandwich in a long time and the evening meal was lovely. Bar decor quite average, a few chairs had seen better days and were a bit rocky. The bedrooms are what you would expect... more
