Stayed here for a couple of nights, largely for business reasons. I was put in room 1 - have to say a beautiful view of the Warwickshire countryside that would make the stay worthwhile on its own. Room was comfortable, clean, nice shower and reasonably spacious. On the ground floor, the Throckmorton Arms is basically a pub and restaurant which... More

Booked the hotel accommodation at this pub for one mid-week night because of a special price deal. It's a but dated but there's a good size bar and dining area and staff were welcoming and helpful. Plenty of parking space outside. Evening meals served until 8.30pm - reasonable food at reasonable prices. The stairs and landing area were hot and... More

Called just for a drink after a day out. The service was friendly and helpful. Two of us had the hot chocolate and it was divine best we had ever had. Did not have a meal but what we saw the meals looked very good. Good choice on the menu and not over priced.

Went there for a meal on Saturday 12 April whilst staying nearby. Staff very friendly and welcoming. I had a homemade burger topped with Stilton and my wife had Hunters chicken. Both meals were nicely presented and tasty. The cheese board was nice, so was the chocolate and orange sauce. The restaurant was almost full be not at all noisy.... More

Wendy and Tracy took great care of us tending to our requests at breakfast time. These two members of the "Throck" team are intently focused on the customer and keep the house and grounds tidy - stellar members of the hospitality industry for sure!! In the rooms that face the nearby roadway, the road traffic noise is pretty loud so... More

Myself and my wife have been visiting the Throckmorton for the last 10 years on a regular basis, we have never stayed because we live locally. However after a nice day out on my wife`s birthday we called in for a drink around 8pm on a Tuesday evening, by which time we both felt a bit peckish I went to... More

Positives: fabulous location, fantastic views of the Countryside. Lovely room. Pub itself absolutely great open log fire really relaxing. Staff friendly. Quality time for my friend and I to spend together. Negatives: Breakfast help yourself to toast personally I don't like the idea of everyone's hands going in the packet. Because not everyone makes a point of washing their hands.... More

I booked online for one nights stay on February 22nd 2014 as we were attending a wedding about a mile away. Extremely friendly and helpful staff upon arrival and the Superior En-Suite was fantastic. A good sized and really comfortable bed with en-suite, tv and tea making facilities, Entry via a side door so no issue with staying out late... More

This is the first ever review I have left but felt so disconcerted about the Throckmorton needed to share. Booked on line with Late rooms and on arrival feel that's what we got. Not a double deluxe but twin beds pushed together and a broken toilet seat. It was valentines night so my husband and I enjoyed the evening at... More

Thank you for your feedback . You came to reception on Saturday morning stating you were not happy with the twin beds being pushed together to make a double, the bed side lights were not working and the toilet seat was broken. I did not say all the rooms are twin bedded I told you we have 5 double bedded rooms... More

My wife bought an Amazon local voucher for the Throckmorton a while back (£16 which represented ridiculous value for money for 2 courses for 2 people!) and we'd half forgotten about it. A combination of a long January and a birthday found us making a reservation. The bottom line is that it was worth every penny. The Throckmorton is everything... More
