We have just returned from a superb weekend at Dorset House, celebrating a 90th birthday. We had 17 people in the house over the weekend and everyone commented on what an excellent venue it was. The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The bathrooms and facilities were adequate for the numbers and the sitting room accommodated everyone with ease.... More

I have just returned from a long weekend at Dorset House with 14 very close friends both male and female and had an amazing time. The house itself is beautiful, the garden is spacious and well equipped with chairs, tables & bbq etc. Rooms were nicely made up and more than big enough, everything was clean and tidy but by... The house had adequate bedrooms but the kitchen was tiny and poorly equiped. the owners were on site running a bed breakfast. guests and visitors to the b and b for example laundry services would troop through the house we had rented. guests to the b and b were some times noisy and disturbed us. it was not ideal to... We have just returned from a lovely week in Alcester staying in Dorset House. The location of this property is absolutely perfect- right in the heart of the village within walking distance of everything- great shops, churches, pubs, information centre, Waitrose and a little convenience store called 'Simply Fresh'.The clothes shop ZIG ZAG is also well worth a visit. I stayed here last weekend as a part of a group of 17 friends and it was absolutely lovely. The house is beautiful - so many rooms, staircases and nooks and crannys to explore, great fun when you're used to a small flat in the middle of London! We made good use of the patio and BBQ area of which... More

This old (1400s) house in the heart of Alcester is a wonderful location for exploring the area --- Warwick castle, Stratford on Avon, etc. The village is charming and the house is large enough for 2-3 families. The owners live on site and provided excellent service. Free wifi. A lovely garden and off-street parking. More

A lovely long weekend with friends. We were a big group of university friends mostly with one or two kids per couple. Ideal for a reunion of this type - plenty of bathrooms, a great big dining room and lounge, and lovely bedrooms. We had a very comfortable bed - one of the best I've slept on. Old house was... More
