quick check in, clean room and prompt room service is what immediately comes to mind when I think of the Seagoe. Excellent foyer area for meetings thoug it was a little cold and lighting was a bit dull. Great bar food menu and the service was excellent.

Visiting Portadown last Friday on business, travelling all day, arrived at HOTEL at 3.05pm afternoon only to be told "kitchen is closed" I did ask if this was a Hotel after all and the counter staff to me to go "up the road to another restaurant" Went to Tipler's Bar and had great food and service!

I stayed here a couple of weeks (for business reasons) and although, as many already mentioned, the hotel looks a bit dated, it was still a pleasant stay. Staff is friendly en helpful enough. Rooms are big and comfortable. The atmosphere reminded me a bit to Fawlty towers, but only in a good sense. The breakfast was a bit different... More

Enjoyed a well presented & delicious open prawn, smoked salmon sandwich. We sat outside as it was a lovely day. Service was good & quick. We often dine here & would recommend. Good food & reasonable for lunch. Ideal location after a day's shopping or after visiting someone in hospital. Plenty parking.

We arrived for lunch.....made our order and enjoyed a glass of wine whilst waiting on the sea bass and lamb dishes. Both dishes were very disappointing. Large bones in the sea bass( which I have had many times before with no bones attached!!!!) The presentation was not good- the fish was still swimming in a messy pond of yellow and... More

When I arrived to check In there had been a slight hiccup with my booking which was sorted out immediately by the lovely Emma, she acted throughout in a courteous, professional and friendly manner and sorted out the issue with little fuss even with a full hotel. She is a credit to the hotel and I am sure with that... More

We took ourselves to the Seagoe for lunch recently. The receptionist was more concerned at talking to the staff than telling us where we could eat . The Sunday lunch menu was prominent at reception but it wasn't Sunday! ! Once directed to the bar we were given menu's, the restaurant menu was first in the folder-the deli menu had... More

We were a small post funeral group. Reception staff had helpfully advised the restaurant would be open until 230 pm and small portions for elderly guests no problem. The reality, the restaurant staff had the room set up for evening dining and clearly did not want us to upset their tables. There was no flexibility about portion size so much... More
