Arrival: very good first impressions whilst walking in. The garden was clean and tidy and the entrance was warm anD welcoming. There were lots of parking spaces. We arrived at 7pm on Saturday evening. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and informed us of breakfast times ext. We requested a taxi for 7:30pm and that was organised... More

My Office is in Birkenhead , so I travel 'up' to the North West on a regular basis. My first visit to The RiverHill was in 2002 and apart from a few years gap when I moved company, I have been a regular visitor for 12 years. The standards here are simply excellent. Its not a five star hotel, because... More

Returning once again I always enjoy my stays at The Riverhill. Comfortable, freshly decorated, clean room. Despite the sad loss of 'Masterchef Claire', her replacement was no disappointment, the food was excellent and of the high standard I have come to expect at The Riverhill. We enjoyed super meals. Great to see a very tempting sweet trolley which are an... More

Went for a meal for my 30th birthday and found it very disappointing for the prices paid. On approaching the hotel there was a member of the kitchen staff sat smoking outside in her apron, not a good first impression! The woman on reception was then less than welcoming. The potatoes were not cooked and inedible. As you only got... More

We booked this hotel to join friends for a meal in Liverpool. As soon as you arrive the greeting is very warm. Impeccable service and a beautiful setting and environment. In a superior double room we went down some steps in our room, to be greeted by a beautiful 4 poster bed. Breakfast was fantastic overall a must stay, thank... More

Chose this hotel as we were visiting family in Birkenhead. The small hotel,is well known in Birkenhead but we had never stayed there. The hotel is in a residential area and although it is on a main road ,it is set back from the road and we were not disturbed by the traffic . There is ample parking in the car... More

My family and I stayed here for my mother in laws birthday meal. Bedrooms were comfortable albeit a little tired in places, but fully functional and complimentary snack basket. The restaurant was packed - food quality was good as was the service. A special mention for the exceptional dessert trolley. Make sure you don't miss out on the full breakfast.... More

A relaxing and comfortable hotel. The riverhill was a very welcoming place. It has a great family run atmosphere. I was pleasantly sprized to find a bottle of water and basket of snacks in my room each day. Snack including chocolet and fruit. I will definitely be back when im in the area.
