I booked a living social deal in this hotel for what I expected to be a small quiet relaxing break. From the time that I booked the break a staff member called Emma had already impressed me. Having traveled the world and stayed in many establishments I could not believe the level that she went to in order for my... More

I stayed over the weekend for a relaxing break and is exactly what we got. Over the two nights we found the hotel to be extremely clean, warm and the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We had breakfasts both morning which were grand and had a meal one night which was tasty and well presented. The pints... More

Myself and my partner bought a voucher on living social for a one night stay in this hotel in January. We were not expecting a 5 star hotel in a prime location! We wanted our dinner and breakfast handed to us in a cosy and clean environment! We arrived to a lovely warm hotel and room. Spotlessly clean. We ate... More

Came here to see Johnny Brady at the function hall. Have to say the room was set out top class and plenty of room to get to bar and smoke room was amazing. Only issue was the clientele was very young. Apart from that I had a good night dancing and would go back if they were more stricken on... More

We attended a 'Country Christmas' night in the hotel, staying in the Bridal Suite. The room was large, Very Clean and tidy, if a little hard to find!? With a fourposter bed and ensuite bathroom (with shower over) There was also a sitting area with table, 2 chairs and a sofa. The Counrty Christmas night in the adjoining function room... More

Lovey old style hotel, very friendly & helpful staff, gorgeous dinner & breakfast, stayed in room 103, very large room, and very warm, comfy clean bed, only £4 for a taxi into town. They did a currency exchange for us which was a life saver, would defo stay again, oh and mind the front door ;)

We stayed in room 107 for a couple of days. This room is big and with a lovely aspect , overlooking a grove of beech trees. The decor is somewhat dated and could do with a refurb - getting rid of the fussy patterns and window frills in favour of simple sharp desigh would improve it no end. Similarly the... More

When you book through a booking agent the tariff can differ, and they often use breakfast as an add-on rather than including it in the price of the room. Perhaps next time you book you could try booking directly with us to ensure we give you the best rate possible for B&B. Refurbishments have just started throughout the hotel, including... More

What can you say. They did everything yo make the day special. The location is great nestled in the Co. Down town of Newcastle. We have stayed here a few times and always found the staff helpful and friendly. The wedding was quite large and they easily coped with this. Our food was great and served quickly and it was...
