Our 1st time at Sandilands and we'll be back. The pitches are reasonably priced including electric and awning, with each pitch having their own fresh & waste point. Shower tokens are 75p each. Be warned that Internet signal is poor but Chestnut wifi is advertised at £3 per hour which is expensive considering must parks at low cost or free.

We decided to camp at Sandilands for a night in August 2015 despite having read some very poor reviews becasue everywhere else seemed to be booked out. Being familiar with the area and having a satnav we found the site easily but could see how others might struggle because there are few signposts, many small roads and several similarly named... We have stayed a few times this year at sandilands and have enjoyed our stay every time. Clean & friendly, good facilities for young children with the playground and access to the beach, always feel like we have the beach to ourselves. Lots of kids with flickers and scooters, but noise does tail off by 11pm. Brilliant modern hook up... More

we have been camping for many years but due to poor running of many sites now only go to Sandilands. This is a beautiful, we'll run camping and caravan site. Alan and Barbara ( and family) who run this site have always make us very welcome and can't do enough to make our stays comfortable! On the occasions that we... More

The site contains static caravans, has an area for touring caravans and motorhomes and a separate space for tents. The tents are located at the entrance to the site on a spacious, flat, well drained grass space which also has a football pitch for kids. So for us with small children we could relax at the tent but were still... More

Having had a static home here 30+ years ago as a kid with my family, I was looking forward to coming back, this time with my own kids, and I was not disappointed. In fact the park is miles better. With only a small swing and slide back in the 80's and the lure of the adjoining sandunes to occupy... More

We stayed here for a short break with the kids in our tent . I didnt find the manager one bit friendly on check in and she barely spoke to me. We discovered we had left a part of the tent behind so my husband drove up that evening with it - it was very late when we were still... More

We are disappointed that you didn’t enjoy your stay with us. We have a large camping area with generous individual pitches and a few to facilitate electric hook up. On arrival we instruct our campers where to pitch their tent and seek to adhere to one car per pitch. (Extra cars can be parked on the other side of the... More

There are people in static 'vans here thirty five years, so well is the site regarded. Having met many in motorhomes and mobile caravans who have travelled far and wide, the general feelings are that this is one of the best in Ireland. The site is landscaped with palms and semi - tropical shrubs giving a Mediterranean feel to the... More

I've taken my family here, on and off for a couple of years now. Alan the site manager couldn't be more helpful. This was the 1st site we had ever been to with our touring van and without doubt would never have got set up without him. He always seems to be there, fixing, cleaning, mowing, supervising and of course... More
