I stayed here one night as I was working in the area and I couldn't have picked a lovelier place. Margaret welcomed me with a pot or tea and a muffin (the teapot even had a teacosy on it!). Lovely spacious room and breakfast...well, what can I say? Delicious. Try the homemade bread - it's to die for! Thanks for... More

A very comfortable B&B, hosted by the most wonderful Margaret! You will be made most welcome. The rooms are very comfortable, facilitating a sound night's sleep. Breakfast! What a way to get your day started! Your eggs will sourced that morning from under the hens (and they taste fantastic!) If I'm in Ards again - I'm beating a path to... More

We stayed here for two nights last week as we were on holiday visiting family and friends. Margaret and Ronnie were the friendliest hosts you could possibly encounter. The room was very spacious and comfortable the whole house was full of interesting antiques and artifacts. The breakfast was superb and the award that Margaret won is fully deserved. We had... More

My daughter and I stayed at Ballycastle House for a few days in September 2013 and were thrilled with both the accommodation quality and the graciousness of our hosts. Margaret and Ron made us extremely welcome, offered us assistance on where to eat and the best places for parking in Newtownards town, and provided a breakfast to die for. We... More

Four of us had a warm welcome from Margaret and were given comfortable rooms. Breakfast was splendid and freshly cooked to order. It all felt very homely and we were treated to a tour of Ronnie's fabulous collection of old restored tractors and cars. An added bonus was watching the red squirrels playing in the garden. Thanks very much to... More

Wonderful warm Irish welcome from Margaret and Ronnie and a really great house in a wonderful setting very near the shores of Strangford Lough. Comfortable en suite room for my son and myself with character beds which were very good. Great breakfasts! Served in a dining room with a host of interesting features (the sideboard is truly amazing!). Self catering... More

Our host Margaret made us dinner reservations at a pub near by and that was helpful due to our late arrival. Margaret treats everyone as part of the family and you feel truly a part of the family. The food was good and the rooms were nice.

Thank goodness, Margaret had the cottage available since I had injured myself on arrival in Ireland and was having to use a wheelchair. The cottage has a kitchen, living room and two bedrooms, one on the ground floor. Margaret had already made us a dinner reservation in the nearby town. The B&B was charming and the grounds were in full... More
