Anvershiel House is perfect location for golf (Royal Portrush or Ramore), close to the beach, downtown harbour area, the Causeway and vicinity and a lovely couple, Erna and Victor, who make great full Ulster breakfasts and are entertaining and cheerful hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the North

Stayed 5th and 6th September for Airshow. There is parking at front and on that weekend it was a godsend as with the traffic arriving for airshow. On your arrival as you go in through the front door you are made welcome. The rooms are neat, clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable, as for the breakfast what can... More

Myself and my daughter (11) stayed for one night in Anvershiel in August and it was the ideal spot for exploring Portrush. The B&B is only 5 mins walk from Portrush town centre and has off road car parking. Rooms are very spacious with all mod-cons and ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was superb, large Ulster Fry with juice, tea/coffee, cereals. And... More

My friends and I visited Anvershiel House in June, what a marvellous welcome we had with hosts in Erna and Victor, they are the perfect hosts very welcoming and helpful. Our rooms were very nice indeed and the facilities of the house first class. It is located just a few minutes walk from the town centre in a residential location... More

Guest houses are often viewed as the poor cousin to hotels but they usually win hands down when it comes to a home from home experience and this is certainly the case with Anvershiel. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and checked in with the least possible fuss. We were asked to choose our breakfast which we did and... More

After a long day driving from Dublin, sightseeing on our way and stopping for a while in Belfast, we were grateful to find Anvershiel House, Portrush. We had to ask for directions on the way, but it was worth it because it’s a peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle of central Portrush. Our friendly host Erna, gave us... More

We arrived 2 couples in the B&B and the owners were both quite unfriendly to us. In the room, the shower was not working properly, we could only have boiling water or cold water, and that was the same for the other room where our friends stayed. The wifi didn't work properly either I would not recommend to stay there

Unfortunately, these people were possibly the most obnoxious and rude humans beings I ever had the misfortune to meet in this business. They also fail to tell the complete truth. FACT ONE they booked the accommodation with a Tourist Information Office in Donegal Town and were told that we ONLY ACCEPT £Sterling. FACT TWO they arrived THREE hours after the... More

The lovely, friendly owners had lots of useful, helpful information, and they were also able to recommend the best places to eat locally. There was a roomy car park at the front of the property. The guest house is literally five minutes walk to the beautiful beach (the owners will give you directions). The bedroom was a good size with... More

Anvershiel House was an excellent choice for our two night stay in this stunning area of Northern Ireland. We (two couples)were made very welcome upon our arrival and shown to our lovely, spacious rooms which were bright and clean. We liked our room with the large windows overlooking the front of the house. Closing the drapes at night ensured that we... More

We were only there for one night, and we found this place to be great. Very clean, nice breakfast, comfy bed, and reasonably priced. I'm a vegetarian and they altered a meal on the breakfast menu to accommodate this, which was nice of them. The owners were friendly, but not overly friendly. We both like our space, so I was...
