We always come here for the Sunday carvery when we holiday in Portrush. This time we were informed that instead of the usual carvery style, only the main course was carvery and we had to choose our starter and dessert form a menu 'so that its freshly made for you'. I chose potato wedges with bacon and cheese and my... More

Stayed August 2014. Rooms of good size (suppose to be superior room) but very basic. Horrid view overlooking housing estate back yard, asked to be moved but told there were no good views! Ate in hotel restaurant one night, restaurant cold, food appalling, Luke warm, I felt that the food had just come from a container and been reheated! I... More

I stayed in the Magherabuoy house during a trip to NI in May 2014. The hotel is well presented and in good shape but I would say there is plenty of room for improvement. Service was average at best and quite disinterested at reception, the rooms were clean but very basic and the restaurant was quite cold and "sparse". It... More

Just returned from a 2 night stay at Magherabuoy House hotel. The online price to include an evening meal cost an extra £48.00. On arrival we were given a voucher for a two course meal in the bistro price £12.00 per person. This is a total of £24.00 so in effect you would be better booking bed and breakfast only... More

My first impression on driving up to hotel was ,badly needs painted very run down looking. The reception area was not much better. Was impress by the cleanest of our bedroom, especially the bathroom only downside was the shower, far too close to the wall and as a result you have to stand beside wall to get any water round you. Both meals in their... My parents and I stayed in a triple room on Monday the 21st July. Being based in Belfast for a three week holiday we only decided the week before that we wanted to stay overnight in Portrush. The Magherabuoy House Hotel was the first place I could find in the area that fitted our needs of having a vacancy, being... More

Stayed for one night on a treat ticket which included evening meal, entertainment and breakfast. Excellent value for what we paid. Rooms were clean and modern looking, spacious. A few of the milk cup football teams were also staying there.
