Booked for DB&B to be told on Sunday to go to the Bistro for our meal - we complained and reluctantly the dining-room was opened - the meal was just awful. Thought as a Best Western it would be good. Pillows were very hard, unable to sleep for doors banging until 3.30 am. Evening meal very poor and not cheap. Breakfast badly organised, poor selection of cold food. Had to queue for cooked food which was in very short supply, waited nearly fifteen minutes for fresh supplies. more

I don't know if that was because of the bank holiday week-end but the breakfast was really disappointing for a hotel of this class. my husband and i stayed for one night.Room was lovely and upgraded without asking.Food was very good £15 for 3 course meal.Staff very pleasant and attentive . Stayed at the Magherabouy for the middle three nights of a 8 day golf trip to Northern Ireland. This place for perfect for golfers. We each had a very large room with two double beds and the bathroom was awesome. Two golfers would be comfortable in one room, but at our age having your own room is important.
