The Barn is a great place to stay, Liz makes sure you are well taken care of for all your needs. The Barn is located in a beautiful area, being close to Glenariff Forest Park and trails to walk around and see the scenery. The sessions that are put on at the barn are well worth your time. I would... More

The Ballyeamon Barn is a gorgeous hostel right on the cusp of Glenariff Forest Park and a stone's throw from the Causeway Coast. The owner, Liz, is a storyteller by trade and is an absolute sweetheart - her concern for me was something I have never before found in a hostel, with Liz very kindly transporting me to and from... The Barn is a great place to stay, its a people place and without doubt Liz and her team are characters. Liz is what I would describe as "large capacity" person, by this I mean she lives and breathes hospitality and her passion for people is without measure. Picking me and my friend up in Cushendall was an act of... More

Arrived late and left early so didn't experience the joys of which others have written. But must comment on the support provided by Liz and her assistant. Wonderful travel and places to visit tips. On top of that, I left a bag with all my clothes behind. Liz rang me and then delivered it all the way to Derry for... More

This is a must, singing, poetry, Irish dancing done by a Canadian on he night I was there, story telling, jokes and the best of Irish hospitality from LIZ. Will be bring all my Australians visitors here. The location is to die for out in the middle of a beautiful glen away from noise and pollution.

The Barn is a fantastic place to relax and recharge. It is more like a home than a hostel. The view is fantastic. I would and will recommend this place to everyone. I really felt like I was a part of the community during my stay here.

Liz Wier's Camping Barn is a wonderful spot - there are beautiful walks, a stunning waterfall nearby, but most important is the people you are likely to encounter staying there. If you are lucky enough to be there on a night of stories and music (which is not all that unlikely), you will have an experience you'll never forget. This... More

I stayed at the barn in autumn 2012 and was instantly spellbound - it is the place where you find the real magic of Ireland! Whether it be the warm and welcoming staff, lovely accommodation, stunning location near the Glenariff Forest Park, or the sessions with music and storytelling (both regular on Saturday night or spontaneous after dinner), I found... I stayed at the Barn during the Ghost in the Glens Storytelling Festival at the end of October. It was incredible! The accommodations were great, and the people were amazing. The Barn was the hub of the merriment and there were many great late nights full of story and drink. I would highly recommend staying there any time if year!

If you want to have a truly UNIQUE Irish experience - one never to be found on one of those frenetic bus trips - be sure to visit Liz Weir, storyteller and writer, at the Ballyeamon Barn. It has whatever you need at prices that are reasonable with incredible value. Where do you see that anywhere now? The location is... More
