We took the family room option and it was ideal. Two single beds in a decent sized adjoining room to ours which had a double and a single.. Both rooms had TV but after driving from Belfast and doing the Causeway all of us were too exhausted to even watch telly!!!. Add to this the fact that we had an... More

I brought my girlfriend here as we were staying up the road in the Causeway Hotel, thought it might be a nice alternative restaurant. its more of a family, bar food type than a restaurant. It was the most expensive meal we had all week. the food was good bar food but not spectacular and over priced if you ask... More

We stayed here for 2 nights a family of 5. The hotel itself is quaint and to be honest not very family friendly despite being one of the only hotels on our trip to the Glens to offer an actual family room. The room consisted of 2 bedrooms, great we though until we seen it, the smaller room had 2... More

Stayed at the Smugglers Inn while doing a weekend tour of the fabulous North Antrim coastline. The name just perfectly fits with all the folklore of the area and we were really looking forward to a cosy unique stay so close to the Giants Causeway steeped in tales of Finn McCool. The name and location is about the best thing... More

My partner and I went out for Sunday Lunch, only to be told that there was no roast of the day left by 2pm. What little else you could choose of the menu was either battered or breaded and the food was expensive for the quality that was received. All in all it was very dissapointing and it will be... More

Had an evening meal here recently. The food was nice, the service was fine and the restaraunt looked clean. The problem was the price, £12.95 for scampi with chips incurring an extra charge was steep for what is a standard family pub.

I have looked at this place many times on the way to Portrush coming from the Antrim Coast Road as it is around 'elevenses' when we usually get here. Normally we would go to get coffee in the Bushmills Distillery as the cafe there is great but it was sunny and a snack outside seemed ideal. We parked at the... More

Have a lovely 2 night break at the Smugglers Inn.. Could not say a bad word about our stay. From our arrival until we left all the staff were so helpful. We had dinner on Saturday evening which was just delicious. Music in the bar relaxing and both men could really sing and play music. Can wait to visit again

This is my first bad review of anything posted to Tripadvisor, but the experience of an early evening meal was so bad that unfortunately I have to post a comment. As a family of five we stopped for early dinner after a trip to the Giant's Causeway (excellent by the way). OK the restaurant was quite busy, but it took... More

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Smugglers Inn. We have been visitors for a number of years and feel that we should let everyone in on our secret. Fantastic value for money. Clean comfortable rooms and welcoming staff. My husband is coeliac and at extremely short notice (i.e., we had arrived) a provision to GF bread/cereal and... More
