Great location for the causeway and room was comfortable if a little dusty. Hostel needed a good clean and tidy up. Communal areas felt a bit like a teenager's bedroom with random rubbish and clutter laying about. Biggest annoyance was the advertised 'full English breakfast' which you don't often see in hostels. Expectations were high but the breakfast was certainly... More

A cosy bed and breakfast on top of a pub. The room was functionable, with everything necessary on place. Wifi works well in the bar, not so in the room. The host was very friendly - a drink and chat in the bar is highly recommended. Also the breakfast was marvellous with fresh fruit salad, cereals and full Irish breakfast... More

I'm pretty sure this was my best hostel experience up to this day. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The house felt laid-back and calm, but never dead, just as we hoped it would be. We especially appreciated the free full english breakfast, coffee & tea, the breathtaking views from the conservatory, and of course the magnificient surrounding area.... More

Finn McCool's is by far the best hostel that we have stayed in, for many reasons. First, the location cannot be beat - just a three minute walk to the Causeway, and beautiful views from the breakfast room. The staff are so accommodating and friendly that it felt like home. We arrived and only planned on spending one night, but... More

You can't beat the location...the kitchen was nice, the volunteers were wonderful, the owner wasn't my favorite as she was a bit cold and hit her 13-week-old puppy (probably about 2 pounds) with guests present while yelling. Parking was also terrible, the owner didn't leave much room to get by to the car park. Also there was quite a bit... More

One of the best hostels I've been in: literally the closest hostel to Giant's Causeway- like a 3 min walk to the entrance, the large living room is great for meeting the other people at the hostel and has an AMAZING view all the way to Portballintrae, the rooms are great (lockers, comfy blankets and pillows), the hostel was a... Pros Friendly comfortable hostel with breakfast thrown in. Nice common area and cracking views over the fields and sea. Very close to the causeway. Clean. Cons One shower was broken so only one shower for a full or nearly full hostel so a bit of a wait in the morning. Leaky roof in conservatory. If they don't maintain the building... More

We spent there 1 night in the end of may. What a pleasant stay!! The position is great, you can't be more close to the amazing natural beauty of the GIANT CAUSEWAY. The hostel is really cozy and welcoming, the facilities are very good and at a very reasonable price ( for the first time we could order a hot... More

We arrived at this hostel after cyling 54 miles from larne . we were met with blank stares from the girl who was sitting on the computer . She eventually found our booking but when was asked if we could hire towels said the washing machine was broken and there were no towels . She told us the nearest place... More

The staff is very nice and everything is clean, but the best part of the hostel is the patio! Breakfast included, it is possible to try the tipical Irish breakfast. Really close to the Giant's Causeway.
