Had a great 10 day stay at Dobbins Inn. Staff was great, food was delicious and location was central to Belfast and points north. With that said Dobbins Inn may not be for everyone. Rooms were dated and shower water pressure was lacking but if you are looking for great location and helpful staff Dobbins Inn is the place!

Dobbins has always been a focal point in Carrick. I remember as a youth me and my mates going there for a drink after Bell ringing (yes really!). Food is really good too, highly recommend their breakfast., and their Sunday carvery lunch. Friendly and very inviting, with that touch of local character, also check out the links to Carrick Castle,... More

I had to organise an anniversary function and the staff of Dobbins were extremely helpful in accommodating our groups requirements. The menu was extensive and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. All those at the function were very complimentary about the venue, food and the staff.

Visiting here with three other people I was very surprised to see how busy the restaurant was even on a Wednesday night. It was obvious that it is a place where families go out for their dinners. And no wonder because this quaint old hotel has a very warm, friendly and almost homely atmosphere that hits you as soon as... More

My wife and I (and our dog, Jack) have just had an excellent 3 nights at this beautiful hotel that is full of character. It has a few idiosyncrasies previously mentioned in other reviews but these just add to its unique and personal character. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast was in keeping with... More

I visited here recently with my young daughter and two friends and we had a lovely evening meal. Three of us had lasanga and garlic bites and my other friend had half a duck with a stir fry. The staff were friendly and attentive and we enjoyed looking at the artwork and nautical themes around the bar area. The desserts... More

Spent a long weekend at the Dobbins and ate and drank there each night . The staff are all naturally polite and friendly and can't do enough for you without getting in your face with the "is everything alright " vacant rubbish you get from hotels which are manned by robots . A lovely , basic friendly base for a... More

The positives: The staff were very good and couldn't do enough from printing out our return flight boarding tickets to lending me an umbrella. The beds and pillows were very comfy The breakfast is good - although only served until 9am The negatives: The whole hotel has a very "tired" feel to it. Decor is "tired" Our Room 8 was... More

Stayed 3 nights at Dobbins. We booked in Early and was made very welcome from the start. This is an old Inn and the building and main rooms all had plenty of atmosphere. The accomodation was neat and tidy, and clean. The bar and staff was very good, always had a smile on their faces. We only had the breakfasts... More
