The coast road hotel closed down a couple of years ago, its nearly derelict now.so, I hope you hadn't planned on a stay there. It was a nice hotel for a meal in its day, pity its gone now. There is a sign outside stating an italian restaurant will be opening. It wont, the sign has been there for well over a... More

What to say.. First the place had fantastic staff, great food and the entertainment was good banter! Cant stress how well we were looked after and made feel at home.. We particularly wanted to give a mention to Jonny who was working almost every evening and made sure to make everything as easy as possible for us!

I stayed in the coast rd hotel in may, when we arrived we were welcomed by a friendly memeber of staff who showed us to our room. The rooms were clean and tidy and bright, we were very happy with everything in the room. We then went downstairs to the bar were we had a lovely meal then stayed and... More

Don't understand the bad reviews, stayed here over a dozen times and always been welcomed and treated like a friend and not a guest.

When entering the bedroom I couldn’t believe my eyes and felt I needed to wash my hands straight away! One of the first things I noticed was that the wall paper wasn’t just peeling off, it was brown (perhaps from when smoking was allowed in the room) and ripped. The furniture in the room was like something out of a... More

We didn't stay in this 'Hotel' as we live near by, but I was taken to it for my dinner as a treat for my birthday. However we did not have a good expereice and we will not be back! The night started off good as we have a couple of drinks in the bar before hand, it was only... More

The Coast Road Hotel, Carrickfergus. A two night stay. A quite simple hotel but distinctive in many ways and very attractive, plain rooms aside, once you have gotten used to it. I would definitely return and I do recommend it. I dithered between 3 and 4 stars. I was thinking of three because the rooms are pretty plain, but clean... More
