This was a lovely B and B. The room was well finished, very clean and comfortable. The tv had free view. Tea and coffee facilities were in the room. Beautiful breakfast included. The owner was very friendly and helpful. A residents' lounge is available for guests. This is a small guest house, only accommodating 6 guests so there is a... More

The B&B is a very good and quiet place to spend a good time. We were very well welcomed and Shirley is an incredible host with her smile. She reflects the kindness and the availability of the Irish. Rooms are always clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious especially the full irish breakfast. The hotel have a good situation... More

We recently stayed in the family room for one night and found it to be a clean, warm and a very comfortable stay. Shirley is a wonderfully friendly and hospitable host and definitely went out of her way to serve and make our stay memorable. We were travelling with a baby & 2 year old (which can sometimes be awkward... More

We inadvertently left a jacket and sunglasses in the closet when we left this friendly B&B. My husband was not optimistic that any B&B host would go to the bother to arrange to ship these back to Canada. However, when we emailed Shirley, she was relieved to hear from us. We had not completely filled in our home address when... More

I stayed at this B&B when visiting Northern Ireland. This quiet B&B is located near shops, trains and buses for easy access to Carrickfergus, Belfast and beyond. I found my room to be exceptionaly clean and tidy with a good sized en-suite. However the host, Shirley made this property into a very warm and genuinely welcoming place to stay. Shirley... More

The B&B is on the main road but it was quiet in room 4 facing the rear. We had a tiny room containing a toilet and basin off our bedroom (ensuite) , while the shower with clear sides was in the bedroom. The shower wasn't hot enough so I had to give up washing my hair and we had quick... More

Thank you for your review and sorry to hear you were not completely satisfied with your stay with us. In response to your comment regarding the shower - we can only say that we have been extremely busy all summer and on that morning there must have been a slightly higher demand for hot water, which we thought we had... My wife, granddaughter and I have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Loughside. The Loughside was perfect - the room was very comfortable with all the facilities one would require. The breakfasts were superb - always cheerfully presented by Shirley. She went out of her way to provide special treats for our 4 year old granddaughter. The... More
