Stayed here for a week at the end of April. I have to say from checking in to checking out it was a pleasure to stay here. Was greeted by the extremely friendly reception staff on arrival, They couldn't have been more helpful, rooms are finished to the highest standard and extremely clean and presentable. Well worth the money!! normally... More

Stayed here a few years ago and delivered a very uncomplimentary review, as was deserved. Returned to the Fir Trees and it is much improved, rooms were much better finished and cleaner. Didn't hear any noise from the bar this time either. A couple of things were the room was cold when we arrived and things like taps being to... More

To many negitive points to highlight here..from raw food YES RAW FOOD..no wifi to terrible sevice..bull s***e excuses. Cold rooms. Unpractical hand basin where it was hard to get water out of the basin to wash due to fixed tap. Damp walls and safety jeopardised using fire extinguisher to keep a firedoor open..see photos as proof. Hard to find the... More

As a hotel that prides itself on offering a ''home from home'' experience we are extremely disappointed with the comments contained in this review, particularly as the criticisms levelled are totally inconsistent with the vast majority of our previous Trip Advisor reviews. In relation to the food and service the duty supervisor does accept that there was a slight delay... More

Went to an event in hotel and when I complained I was told they had no glasses, I asked specifically for a glass I was asked to keep bringing same glass back for a refill..... I think it's a total disgrace that in a hotel paying hotel prices , you have to drink out of a plastic cup it's a... More

In the interests of Health & Safety we have a policy of using plastic glasses at our ''Club Firs'' disco events. This is standard procedure within the hospitality trade for this type of event, which by it's very nature attracts a young and boisterous crowd. More

Stayed for 2 nights. Rooms are modern and spacious enough. Nice big shower. Breakfast was modest but covers most people's wants. Only other time we ate in the hotel was a quick sandwich at lunchtime from a great wee Under a Fiver Menu. All staff - from Eileen at reception to the cheery room staff - were friendly and welcoming.... More

Spent an overnight in the Fir Trees. Room was excellent & food was good in very appealing surroundings in the Bar. Hotel is situated just off the bypass on Main Newry to Derry Road.Plenty room for parking and staff were great. I would go there again

For the starters I ordered the garlic mushrooms, they were nice apart from the whole piece of garlic I found in it but I ignored that. My wife ordered the garlic bread with cheese which came with no cheese which was terrible. Then for the main course we both had the steak but the chef must have heated the plates... More
