We had last stayed here eight years ago and had fond memories of it. Our most recent stay did not disappoint us in any way. We found checking in was done in a very efficient and friendly way and throughout our stay all the staff whom we met were courteous and helpful. Our room was pleasantly furnished and well maintained.... more

When we arrived we were booked into a room that was underneath the reception. I found it strange that we were asked for out money up front. We paid 110 Pounds for two adults and 3 young children under 5. On walking to the room we noticed an obnoxious smell, It was so bad that we had to hold our... more

The room was very pleasant - like the rest of the hotel, it was spotlessly clean, neatly decorated and comfortable. Light and airy with curtains and window open, it was snug and quiet when they were closed. The immediate view of the untidy car park led to a better distant view of countryside beyond the town's bypass (which was not... more

I stayed at the hotel over bank holiday weekend and for how much i paid for the room i expected it to bealot better. When me and my partner first entered the room there was a strong sick smell which had been attempted to be masked by air freshner-the window was wide open presumably to get rid of the sick... more

We made a late booking for two nights. Booked off independant web site as cheaper. It was fine, bit of a creaky lift and the information on breakfast room incorrect in the bedroom ( this may be because it is the winter season possibly) but overall the stay was enjoyable and the staff helpful and efficient. The main problem was... more

My visit to this hotel consisted of one night only, and I was staying there as part of a large group who were attending a concert in the area and needed a place to stay. I had read some of the reviews here before going, and to be honest I wasn't expecting too much from the hotel. I was pleasantly... more

We stayed at the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel for two nights (Saturday and Sunday) and this will be are first and last visit to this particular hotel. After reading other contributors comments about some of the small rooms we decided to book an Executive Room. However, the room we were allocated was directly above the restaurant, as are numerous other... more

Sat on the wooden decking at the rear of the hotel, on a beautiful spring morning, I have decided to tell you about my stay at the Ivy Bush Hotel. We all have different opinions, perceptions and standards and I will try and give a balanced view. The Hotel has a very friendly feel to it and the reception staff... more

We stayed at The Ivy Bush overnight on a Friday. We checked in late which was painless, and had an inclusive delicious hearty breakfast. We needed to check out later as we had a wedding we needed to get ready for, and they were more than happy to help, and didn't charge us at all. The hotel is very central,... more

I stayed in this hotel for 3 consequtive years on business. I stayed in refurbished rooms on each occasion & found them nice, clean & comfortable. Apparently all the rooms have now been done. The service is not bad they are mainly eastern europeans but always happy to help. I would have no reservations in staying there again. more
