I booked in for one night's stay at the Drover's Arms while visiting Carmathan for work. I arrived at around 9pm at night and when I checked in the girl behind the bar had no record of my booking which did not fill me with confidence. I have stayed at this pub with rooms many times when working. It is family owned and they are friendly and he is noticably cheery at breakfast. She speaks Welsh as well as English and both languages may be heard in the hotel. There is a restaurant with satisfactory breakfast and evening meals. I have not had lunch there. The... more
