Nothing special but perfectly acceptable - very clean and reasonably presented, though the sheets were so thin as to be practically transparent. The Boars Head lets itself down by focusing on cutting corners rather than creating a good visitor experience. The Boars Head is on a main street with many similar inns offering guest accommodation. We had a triple room (well, family i.e. double and a single) that suited us fine just for the night as we had a very early train to catch. We have just returned from a night's stay at the Boars Head in Camarthen. Whilst the room was adequate we were kept awake by an unruly aggresive drunk gentleman in the next room until 4am. We could not contact anyone in the hotel to deal with the problem as the reception was unmanned at night, and we were too scared... more

Ecellent food. Comfortable bedroom with clean, spacious bathroom. Friendly staff. A nice wide varity of beers and spirits. Located in the town centre with easy access to the train and bus stations. We found this place, right in the centre of Carmarthen, after getting stranded in Carmarthen in a storm, and fleeing in desperation from the god-awful bland Ivy House Hotel up the road, allegedly 'the town's finest'.
