When we arrived Elaine came out to welcome us on the car park. She made us feel very at home. We were very pleased with our room. We chose Shakeshafts for a 2 night stopover on our way to West Pembrokeshire so that we could visit the National Gardens of Wales and Aberglasny Gardens. It was excellent in all respects - good parking, nice room and dining room and a very good breakfast with eggs from their own hens. The garden is very pretty with a look-out... More

Found this delightful bed and breakfast while looking through trip advisor, great reviews and I can see why. Comfortable and well equipped rooms, very quite due to rural location. Plenty of parking and great garden. Nice home cooked breakfast, but it is served at 08.30. If you're in the Carmarthen then this would be a good place to stay.

Superb B&B. Nicely decorated, great shower, excellent breakfast every morning. Perfectly located for local attractions including the National Botanic Gardens of Wales and several castles. Check the map before you leave home as the sat-nav will let you down.

Absolutely superb accommodation and wonderful garden. Though it was a single night stay, we had a pleasant stay. Rooms are up to the standards. We would highly recommend and would definitely like to stay again.
