What a delightful place - a great find! Lovely food, beautiful location/area, very cosy and comfy bar/restaurant, personable staff, gorgeous room - and all at a reasonable price. We will be back. Loved it - thanks to everyone at The Tempest Arms - see you again soon!! Carl and Helen more

We got married here and could not find fault with anything. The hotel is beautiful, well laid out with an informal feel, even the cheapest rooms are comfortable and of a high standard. The hotel staff handled the wedding with professional ease and were discreetly on hand at all times. The honeymoon suite is furnished to a high standard with... more

It' is worth appreciating that this is basically a busy country pub which serves good food, and not a country hotel. Some of the bedrooms might be quite plush, but we had a ground floor 'club' room with a view of the side passage and the bins. The electric heating was efficient and easy to regulate, and the beds were... more

Second visit to the Tempest. We upgraded room to suite. My only criticism of room was the shower seals need relacing, apart from that it was warm, a comfy bed. beautifully furnished, a fridge, bottled water, chocolate , dressing gowns and lovely posh tolietries. When you arrive at the tempest arms , the car park is always busy. you always... more

I was looking for somewhere to stay with a private hot tub and came across this place. It is exceptional both in cleanliness and hospitality combining comfort with style. On our first visit we stayed in Room 13 (with hot tub) which has the largest bed we have ever slept in.On our recent visit we stayed in Room 11 which has... more

Stayed 1 night on business, but was pleasantly surprised with the Tempest. Booking and email confirmation all very good, Check-in quick and easy. Room I had was an executive single, but was really a very large double. Room very spacious, clean and well equipped. One point to note, a lot of rooms are in a newer separate building. Didn't bother... more

I organised my 50th birthday party here for friends and family and as I now currently live in the states I had to do this through e-mail and from the first enquiry to the final confirmation there could not have been a more organised and helpful staff. I also reserved some rooms for my friends and family to stay in... more

Just spent one night at this Inn. We were very pleased with our choice, nice quiet location. We had a club room which was fine, comfy bed, but I think if/when we return we would upgrde to a suite, which seems very good value. The staff were lovely, very friendly and the 'bar' area had that lovely welcoming feel about... more
