As you can tell from title this is a late review from back in February and for a very good reason, me & my husband got married year in February and unfortunately had a couple of complaints, which unfortunately got blown a little out of proportion & we complained about everything we could think of complaining about. For this reason... more

We have just returned home from our weekend stay at the Coniston, & it was wonderful. The room we had was very clean & had a great view of the lake, it also has a plus side of being able to take pets & our dog loved the long walks around the lake although much of which he had to... more

I had a wonderful stay at the Coniston Hall Lodge. The people that work there were very friendly, I felt very much at home. The view of the lake and the hills is an amazing experience. I really enjoyed the Clay Pigeon Shooting, the fishing and other activies I could have done. I have already reccomanded it to many of... more

We have just spent one night at this beautiful hotel and how we wished it had been longer! It's a lovely hotel with spacious, spotlessly clean bedrooms and modern bathrooms with spa toiletries and fluffy white towels. All public areas are well maintained and all staff friendly and helpful. Get a drink from the bar and take it out onto... more

My in-laws live up the road in Skipton and we have been to the hotel on several occasions for dinner - in fact my now husband even proposed in the car park several years ago!!! As the food is so good, we decided to drop the children off with Grandparents and book in for an evening - it was fantastic!... more

We came to Coniston Hotel only because they are pet friendly & very few hotels in the Dales advertise themselves as such. To complicate things further, I am unusually disabled – unable to sit or stand. In fact it was a great success. The disabled room was near reception and the en suite wet room was well designed and equipped.... more

Lovely place with friendly staff, nice clean rooms and a real get-away-from-it all location (but not too far away from Skipton). And beautiful views of the lake out the back, which you can admire on a summer's day with a pint or a cuppa. Just stayed the one night for a family do and was thoroughly impressed, with a good... more

I've been spending a lot of time in the Skipton area over the last five years, and in my opinion there is no better place to stay. The Coniston is a wonderfully friendy hotel, offering clean well-equipped rooms, a friendly and guest-focused ethic and a restaurant offering true fine dining. The staff are excellent hosts, their focus on the comfort... more

We stayed with our boys for a weekend - our third trip. Staff are fabulous and very friendly. We found the food excellent. We had a standard room which was fine although, as other reviewers have said, sound does travel and late night revellers/early morning calls/room service deliveries can be disturbing. My husband and boys did clay pigeon shooting, archery... more
