Stayed for one night having found a dweal on laterooms.com for £40 Double Room B&B. The hotel is centrally located on the ring road, can't miss it really. The building would definitely benefit from a lick of paint but internally, whilst old and with character we found it charming. We ate our evening meal at the hotel too, they had... more

Reflecting what most reviews have said, this place is a bit jaded. However I am pleased that the historic building is more or less intact and hasn't been messed with too much. E.g. Courtyard. Staff at all points were friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was superb, delicious sausages, perfect poached egg and crispy toast. Coffee however was very poor.... more

Stayed at The George for their 2 night festive break. Took a while to find went around Huntingdon's ring road - several times! Fair amount of parking. Quick check in and advice given on arrival. We had booked two double rooms and one single. Both doubles were of a good size on the first floor. General appearance a little tired.... more

I am all for a bit of character and gently faded glory, but looking like the bulldozers should move in any day is not conducive to a good stay. Old, historic hotels will always be just that, but if the owners are not prepared to invest some modest sums to retain at least a degree of dignity and comfort, then... more

The George is a typical English country side hotel that has undergone some renovations to keep the rooms up to standard but not more than that. I stayed together with a colleague in 2 separate rooms. I paid 100 pounds for a night and I also made use of the restaurant. Both of us couldn't find a remote control for... more

This hotel is a little frayed around the edges but for all that it is a charming hotel. The staff were very helpfull and friendly and did go out of their way to accomodate us. They were also very good with having the children around. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good and the service as... more

We got a really good rate for dinner, bed and breakfast in a feature double on a bank holiday Sunday (we were going racing at Huntingdon on the Monday). The hotel is very centrally located, with plenty of parking, but not at all noisy. There is a nice courtyard with pretty flowers but it would look so much better with... more

Beautiful old building with a lot of history, lovely courtyard with bright flowers everywhere… however the interior décor could definitely do with sprucing up a bit, mould and peeling paint on the stairs and in the function room. We stayed in one of the family rooms on the top floor for 2 nights at “wedding guest” rates. The room was... more
