Cheriton House is a great B & B in the lovely village of Houghton, the owners are very friendly and we were offered tea or coffee in the garden upon our arrival with homemade cake, which was lovely. Our room was in the main house, and was a lovely size with a comfortable bed and with a quirky entrance to... More

We stayed here 5th - 7th July, the location is perfect, excellent walking country or exploring the small beautiful villages. The guest house is first class, good nights sleep, excellent hosts and the kind of service you expect in a hotel. Breakfast fresh fruit, cereal, full English (we choose not to have the large was still very filling) or other... More

We stayed here over a weekend to go to an airshow at RAF Duxford. Right from the word "Go" the experience was nothing short of fantastic, Chris and his wife were brilliant hosts offering to book restaurants and giving us advice on where to eat, drink etc The room was great, clean and comfortable, even with an outside seating area... We spent an overnight on our way from Glasgow to Harwich and received a very warm welcome and a hand in with our luggage. The room was clean, bright and had wonderful touches like a sewing kit, books to read, dvds to watch, cotton buds and balls and a big bottle of Radox for a nice relaxing bath! The village... More

Stayed here for four nights. Good comfortable room, nice little touches like a kit Kat every day in the tea tray. Breakfast is absolutely 5 star, all freshly cooked and well presented. Good range of cereals and fresh fruit. Hosts delightful!

From the moment we arrived [16/06/2015] my wife and I were greeted as if we were old friends. This Bed & Breakfast was more like a small well equipped hotel with the charm from a fifties novel. An all day Breakfast that does what it states [gets you through the day] Chris and Liz are the perfect hosts, nothing is... More

Great welcome from Chris and Liz, help with bags and a nice cup of tea and fruit loaf to savour in the sunshine. Room was fine, power shower, fast wifi and a kit kat with the tea and coffee. Really awesome breaky; full english is great but the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs are a real treat. Would love to... More

The guest house is in a beautiful location with river walks and tea shops in the village. Our hosts, Chris and Liz, were extremely attentive and we enjoyed tea & cake in the garden on our arrival. The beds provided a comfortable night's sleep in a quiet and peaceful setting and breakfast was great. Home made bread much appreciated. Many... More

I made a major boo boo by booking my room at Cheriton House on the wrong date which was entirely my fault. I received a courtesy call to ask what time I was arriving and it was at this point the penny dropped and I realised my mistake. The caller could not have been more pleasant or helpful and unfortunately... More

We pulled in to the drive at Cheriton House and before we had opened the boot Chris was at hand offering help with our bags. We dropped the bags off in our room and returned down stairs to a delightful pot of tea with hot buttered fruit loaf that Liz offered us when we first walked in. A lovely welcome... More
