I stayed at the Old Bridge November 10-13, for a business trip. The hotel is beautiful and situated on the river bank, which only adds to its charm and beauty. The staff were very courteous, efficient and friendly. They have a dining room for breakfast, as well as a second larger dining room. The bar is very cozy, with a... more

We recently celebrated my birthday with an overnight weekend break at The Old Bridge. We have been to this hotel before, but not since January. When celebrating with friends you hope that everything is as good as you remembered from your previous visit - we were not disappointed. Our room was beautiful with a bathroom large enough to have a... more

Stayed for one night in October. Can't fault anything about the stay. Lovely room, great shower, prompt delivery of tea in the morning at the exact time requested. Dinner was good too and service friendly. Appliest apple juice served at breakfast! Shame about the view of the A14 - but despite the proximity no road noise to speak of. DB&B... more

This was my second stay at the Old Bridge. A year ago I stayed as a single woman, doing family history research at the Huntingdon Record Office. The hotel was efficient, clean and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed being able to invite cousins of varying ages to dinner there, knowing that they'd be comfortable (80-somethings, 50-somethings AND 30-somethings!). I also liked... more

This is a fantastic hotel, which with the addition of a specialist wins shop just got better. It is an attractive building, with a pleasant loung, nice bar and elegant dining room. The staff are unfailingly friendly, the bedrooms are well appointed, (although some are a bit small, but still fine), and the food is fantastic. This is everything you... more

I would be hard-pressed to fault our stay at the hotel. The room was clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The staff was courteous, polite, genuinely friendly and very professional. Everybody knew what they were doing and did their job extremely well. We had a three-course evening meal included in our 3 night stay for £20 per person extra on top of... more

The problem with setting yourself up as a centre of regional excellence is that occasionally someone may expect some substance to these claims; the Old Bridge Hotel, I’m afraid, didn’t remotely manage this. On arrival, I was asked if it were my first visit. I answered that it was my first in 25 years. An indulgent chuckle from the receptionist... more

In response to “Simper and be Grateful”, a message from John Hoskins, owner of The Old Bridge Hotel. May I please clarify a few brief factual points: a) Each room has a 30ml bottle of Molton Brown shower gel and the same size container of shampoo and conditioner, together with a 300ml container of hand soap fixed above the sink....

I visited this hotel for lunch last year with some friends who were staying in Huntingdon - I remember it being quite nice so thought we would stop off today on our way back up north. It turned out to be a great choice. The staff were excellent, the menu and food were excellent. There's not really much else to... more

We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded on arrival by a friendly local lad . The bedroom though good-sized and attractivly furnished, with a vast bathroom, (another bed room in times gone by perhaps), was stuffy with the windows shut and when open I could have shaken hands with upper deck bus passengers so close was the traffic. It cannot... more

In response to the 'Canny Traveler' review, a message from John Hoskins, owner of The Old Bridge Hotel. I am sorry that the 'Canny Traveler' did not enjoy his stay at The Old Bridge. I have written to him to apologise that he felt the service and food were leaderless and 'average'. I hope a quick scan down the other...

We have enjoyed staying at the Old Bridge for the last few years whenever we visit family in the area, or sometime we sneak over there just to have a night or two to ourselves! The staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful, without being overbearing. The food is excellent, morning, noon and night, and service... more
