Very friendly and helpful. Excellent food good accommodation. Stayed while supporting friends on their north south horse trek. Lovely location and in a quieter area for the outdoors. Good as a stop over as well if required.

Basically not very good. We called there for an evening meal after a long journey. The staff were lovely and pleasant as you would expect from a tightly knit Welsh community and I can't fault them but after eating a curry with chips I have had 'bad' guts all day today and I put that down to the curry. Perhaps... More

If you're planning to stay here for a stag do, I suggest looking elsewhere. My friends and I went on a stag weekend, and were booked into this hotel through the stag do website (was a package deal). When we arrived, the hotel had no knowledge of our booking. While this was not our fault, it seemed we were going... More

Called for lunch , and were imediately shown to our table.I opted for the burger and chips while my wife had the lasagne. The burger was excellent, and while the lasagne was very tasty, it did lack the normal ingridients associated with lasagne - tomatoes and pasta! The welcome and service was excellent, more so that the staff spoke Welsh.... More

Really enjoyed our family dinner here. There food was exellent. The owners are obviously spending a lot of time and money refurbishing the pub inside and out. Would have given 5 stars but the glasses we had our drinks in were not as clean as they should have been.

How lucky are we to have a local rural pub that is doing well these days. This historic building has been tastefully repainted, garden has been renovated and a wonderful undercover patio added that really adds a wow factor to the place. We took our visiting grown up Son for a steak supper on Saturday and we all throughly enjoyed... More

Just popped in for a quick lunch, we have a caravan just down the lane, always a pleasant welcome from Rob and wife, meals are first class! Just having the rear of the premises updated, it'll be lovely when finished! The weather wasn't very kind to us so sitting outside not to pleasant! Well worth a visit on your way... More

We booked this as part of a stag do weekend for my brother. It is a character fiiled Hotel/Pub built in 1310, with ample seating both inside & outside on the lawn area. Roger, the Landlord, was amazing. He made our stay all the better, Keeping the pub open one night till 2am. The locals also were friendly & welcoming,... More

Family run historic local hotel. We had a large double room at the top of the hotel, quiet, spotless, very comfy bed but a little basic: work in progress we felt. Hotel is recently taken over by a young family: they are lovely and clearly making strides to improve this big hotel.

Enjoyed a very good Sunday carvery meal in a newly decorated dining room. Lots of seating outside on lawned area plus large park.. Noticed pick up/ drop off car access immediately outside french doors in dining room. Saw a disabled person using that access today- very good idea. A very historic building ,parts dating back to 1310
