7 of us stayed one night whilst returning to Truro for a school reunion. My room was spotless, refreshments plentiful, amenities good. Food in restaurant tasted lovely. Only criticism is very slow breakfast service after ordering. The restaurant was not full. However I would stay there again.

From the road you get the wrong impression. Just a town pub on a busy road. Nothing could be further from the truth. A very impressive hotel, large bar with lots of tables to eat and decent food. When you drift to rear of bar area, there are large balconies overlooking countryside where you can eat or drink. Very handy... More

We stayed here for one night when down in Truro celebrating my Mum's 80th Birthday. A number of the family also stayed here. Whilst the exterior on arrival is not overwhelming once inside there is a wow factor for the price. The pub aspect is great with great views over the countryside at the back with plentiful seating inside and... More

Welcoming staff, good-sized rooms, clean, comfortable bed. My room had a door linking to the next room. Thankfully my neighbours were not noisy, but had they been this would have been an issue. Other than that, can't fault the accommodation. I added breakfast to the bill and this could have been better had there been baked beans with the Full... More

Stayed here for 3nights on business. Excellent hotel, friendly and accommodating staff, due to my partner and I working nights the receptionist had left a note for the cleaners to be quiet in the morning as we would be sleeping (which they were). Lovely food with a stunning view. Very comfy bed :)

I stayed at The County Arms for one night as a cyclist en route from Lands End to John O'Groats. Good place to stay as the rooms are easily big enough to accommodate the bike too! The front desk service was very good. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The hotel also scored a first in... More

In Truro on business, I booked The County Arms in part based on reviews but also for its location, close to where my work the following day would be based. The County Arms is a St Austell Brewery pub and the rooms are in an adjacent building, which I suspect is a newer addition. Parking is plentiful with well sized... More

we have visited this place quite a few times, however, we decided to stay a couple of nights and were not really surprised by the value, comfort or service we experienced. First class throughout. Very comfortable bed that lead to a very good nights sleep,Food both for breakfast and dinner was superb, very good portion size and very tasty. Would... More

We stayed here when visiting my friend in hospital. It was really convenient, as only 5 minutes down the road. Staff were really friendly. Room was a nice size - clean and comfortable. Good price. Had dinner in the restaurant - good food. We also had breakfast which was lovely.
