This was our second stay at the County Arms to visit family living locally, our first visit was immediately after the refurbishment of the bedrooms and we appreciated the high standard of contemporary decor and we were not disappointed this time as that high standard had been maintained. The food quality this time around was much improved and we enjoyed... More

Just outside the city centre but within walking distance, visitors should remember that it is a long climb back up from the main shops, but there is a bus. The food, both evening meals and breakfast was well cooked and tasty. The staff throughout the hotel were uniformly friendly and helpful. The accessible room was right next door to reception... More

We had a great stay at the County Arms for 5 nights in April, while in the region for a family wedding. It's just ten minutes walk from Truro's train station (although it is uphill from the station so maybe not a good idea to walk up there with heavy suitcases). We arrived a little before check-in time but were... More

We found this hotel on the web and were delighted with the service from the start to finish. We booked a family room which was spacious, modern and peaceful. Beds very comfy, furnishings fresh and cheery. Plenty of car parking, close enough to city centre although we were visiting the hospital which was just 2 mins by car. Nothing was... More

The county arms is situated about 15 mins from the centre of Truro. It is on a busy road but has an amazing view from the back. My room was a really generous size and nicely decorated in restful colours. It had the most comfortable bed and a generous sized shower. The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. My room faced... Thank you very much for your lovely review, we are pleased to hear that you had such a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It’s great to know that the team were so helpful. Unfortunately the extractor fans in the bathroom do go on for 15 minutes after the light is turned off however this can be remedied by switching the fan... More

Stayed here for one night on a Friday, very impressed! The photos do this hotel no justice.. Stayed in a superior bedroom and was amazed at the size. Had a lovely kingsize bed and an en-suite bathroom which was immaculate. The lady on the reception desk booked us a table at the restaurant for that evening which was also very... More

Very impressed with our stay here. The room was lovely - spacious and immaculately clean. I would recommend the rooms at the back of the hotel as it is very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. Visited this hotel 28.2.2014 to 3.3.2014 Our room was superb and each morning cleaned thoroughly by cleaning staff. All the staff we encountered were welcoming and efficient, Our stay was spoilt by the restaurant food that was poorly prepared and presented both at breakfast and dinner e.g overcooked (breakfast), with cold plates for hot food and poached eggs like bullets!...
