The reviews didnt do this place justice. Our room, with a double and single bed, was large and airy. The kitchen was big and well equipped. We loved everything about this place. The owners were lovely.

We stayed at Truro lodge towards the end of September which happened to coincide with the Truro food festival. We had a great break, Truro Lodge is a fantastic quirky b&b minutes walk from the cathedral. The owners offered some great suggestions for local places to eat and places to visit We will definitely be returning

A truly beautiful and friendly stay in Truro. Rob, the owner is a true English Gentleman, he gave us very good ideas what to visit in the region and he knows lots of stories to tell about Cornwall. I wish all the best for the staff of Truro Lodge, we had a great time by You!

Beautiful house and great value. The room was a lot bigger than we expected and although there is no ensuite there are two massive and beautiful bathrooms. this place is not far from the train station and we had a lovely walk through truro every morning to reach the station. Lovely friend and helpful owner aswell!!

All the comforts of being at home without the boring, monotonic daily routines of home-life. This is the best place to stay, especially if you're travelling as a family! The bus station is comfortably within walking distance, and so are all the pubs and bars. There is a small shopping area there as well. It is, however, very popular. So... More

Stayed two nights in Truro Lodge after being air lifted from Scilly and taken to Truro Hospital where I was uncerimoniously discharged after 8 pm with nowhere to stay in a strange town! Luckily I had my phone and found The Lodge. Couldn't have chosen better - everything was great. A lovely home from home feeling with very friendly and... More

Stayed 4 nights with our 3-yr-old boy and one child not yet born! Very friendly relaxed place, lots of character, very clean. Great that it has a kitchen where you can cook your own food and breakfast is provided too. You can walk 3 mins to Tesco, get some food and put in straight in the Aga which is always... More

We recently stayed one night at the Truro Lodge.Absolutely loved the character of the house and the hosts Rob and Moyra were most welcoming and friendly. We had booked the family room for three of us but Rob very kindly offered my daughter the single room next door that was empty. Will definitely highly recommend the lodge as somewhere great to stay... This is definitely the most relaxing, welcoming and aesthetically pleasing B&B I know. Rooms are warm and cosy, linen spotless, beds comfortable and the house itself delightful. I particularly value the informality of being able to help myself to tea in the kitchen, heat up a meal if necessary, and sit at the big kitchen table next to the Aga... More

Hosts were friendly, and it's quirky and in a good location (although you do have to walk through underpass, so not good if on your own at night). Most worrying was that I came away with bites on my legs, so not sure how clean bedding was...! Room was ok, bit grubby, more hostel-standard than B&B.

Rob N, Owner at Truro Lodge, responded to this review

We're sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. The room you were in was decorated two years ago, and was cleaned before your arrival, with fresh clean bed linen. The mattress was new last year. The house is 160 years old, and although we clean every day, it does show it's age. But nobody has ever described it... More
