Good location, nice breakfast, friendly warm welcome and parking had just enough spaces for all the cars. Room was ok, although a bit small and the bathroom floor still had what looked like the previous guests genital hairs on the floor.... Not a nice sight. The room smelt damp the whole 3 nights we stayed there :(( Overall the experience... More

So I stayed here on my own for a LEJOG trek. I got a very friendly, warm welcome from the staff, who also helped me with local places to find an evening meal and were very useful. The only issue was after carrying a heavy backpack all day, my room was up on the highest floor. However, bedroom facilities were... More

A nice welcome, friendly staff at breakfast. This guest house is very tired, the shower cubicle was full of black mould. The water did not drain readily and so one needed to switch off regularly to permit water to drain away. The shower water was hot which was nice. Shower gel and hand soap is provided in case you have... More

Room was clean and we had a large bathroom with bath and shower, breakfast was nice, you can make your own tea and toast which we liked but some people may not like that system. Highchair was provided for us. And could have had travel cot if needed

What a wonderful place to stay? We arrived just before our check in or 2pm and we were greeted with smiles, friendliness and assistance! We were in room 2... And as for some of the photos and negative comments about the room on this site... That's exactly what they are... Negative! The room was big, comfortable, everything to hand, and... More

Stayed one night and was a little disappointed. We booked a superior room and perhaps this meant we were higher up! Our room was situated on the 2nd floor with steep steps so we left most of our luggage in the car as it would have been difficult to lug our bags up the steps. The room smelt a little... More

Only stayed for one night while attending a wedding at Truro, so didn't spend much time at the guest house. Located on a fairly busy road about 15 minutes walk from the station. I checked-in in the evening and was given the key to a very good en-suite single room at the front of the building next door. The room... More

Stayed here while our daughter's family borrowed our own house. The friendly service and comfortable accommodation with a lovely view of Truro and it's cathedral made it feel as if we were on holiday. It may not be a luxury hotel but we have stayed in luxury hotels that were not a patch on our comfort her. As for romance... More

Booked through hotels.com. Received a phone call morning of arrival asking what time I'd be checking in, as the lady needed to go shopping and wanted to be there when I arrived. Whilst I appreciated not turning up to no-one there, it then put me under pressure to be back from visiting my friend at the time I'd said I... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we very much appreciate your feedback. We do ask all our guests for an approximate time of arrival when they book with us. We are a family run business and so having an approximate time means we can be absolutely sure that we are here when guests arrive. We... More
