Stayed one night in this hotel. The owners are charming and extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was small, comfy and average for a 3 star B&B. It is in a nice, quiet location. The cooked breakfast was nice. I would stay there again for one night if I needed a comfy B&B on route to somwhere but would choose... More

Hotel with character and situated in a nice area. Friendly owners and very clean and equipped rooms, with off road parking. Everything worked well and guests were supplied with complimentary toiletries etc. Breakfast was excellent, in a warm cosy dining area. For supper, we walked to a nearby Pub, ( The Bell? ) and the food was also very good... More

Stayed overnight whilst abandoning my son at RAF Halton. Absolutely fantastic. Lovely room, clean and fresh with an old world charm. If you like quirky and individual hotels this is a perfect place. Lovely home cooked breakfast in the morning. We will be back again.

We arrived about an hour ahead of schedule and was 'received', rather than 'welcomed' by an elderly lady who seemed most put out at being disturbed by guests ringing the doorbell. We signed in, were shown to our room and given a firm notification that breakfast would be served between 7.30am and 8.30am. No mention was made of the hotel's... More

I am so sorry to hear that your stay at West Lodge didn't meet your expectations. It is a shame that the 3star rating and style of West Lodge wasn't to your liking although we do go out of our way on the website to be clear about what we are offering. We were completely unaware of any requirements or... More

We have had opportunity to stay at West Lodge (an old Rothschild Lodge) on two separate occasions this month and what a great surprise it was. We lived around this area for over 40 years and never once had the occasion or opportunity to go in or stay.....isnt that often the way? Here on our doorstep was a really comfortable,... More

Needed an overnight stay in a hotel near Aylesbury, found an absolute gem. Rooms were nice sized, clean and comfortable, the staff were lovely and friendly, and the breakfast was perfect. When I am down that way again, will definitely look to stay here again. Highly recommended! :)

The most beautiful little hotel, the friendly service was second to none and nothing was too much trouble. The bed was so comfortable it was hard to leave, all facilities were clean and everything was well appointed including thoughtful touches like extension leads and hair dryer. The breakfast over looking the garden was lovely especially knowing everything was locally sorcery.... More

Stayed one night to visit the Harry potter studios, which is around half an hour drive away, staff were very nice and helpful including local food recommendations. Comfy room and lovely view of the garden out back. Breakfast was a good, solid fry up with full table of expected alternatives (cereals etc). All told an enjoyable and comfy place to... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here at the end of last year for a night on the way into London and it was lovely. I've never felt so welcome and at home in a hotel. The owners were so lovely and friendly and put on a really delicious breakfast. The room was immaculate and were made very homely, it didn't... More
