My husband booked this hotel for our anniversary, it looked lovely on the advertisement..... How wrong. We apparently had a upgraded room. The floor had stains on it, the chairs did and the throw on the bed. The bath had mould around the edge. This is definatly not a 4star hotel. We have stayed in a nicer youth hostel!! The... More

Stayed last week at this hotel and was pleased that I was able to get a last minute deal for £54 for bed and breakfast because I would have been even more disappointed if I had paid about £170 which was the original advertised price. As a single female guest I was very disappointed to find that I had been... More

Visited here for a lunchtime meeting / coffee in the lounge. There were asylum seekers staying there. They were evident in the grounds (smoking) and they were also hanging around in the smelly damp corridor leading to the leisure complex (which appears closed). The place is scuffy and has an unpleasant atmosphere. I wouldn't stay here if you paid me.

We booked a Groupon deal for a Sunday night stopover. I felt we had to pass on our comments upon our return; it didn't seem fair to be negative to the lovely receptionist, but we objected to sharing this 4 star break with asylum seekers hanging around in intimidating gangs around the corridors on their phones and in their flip... We visited on 17/1/15. Having stayed twice before, we were disappointed that the evening meal was now a carvery rather than a served 3 course meal, as on previous occasions. Breakfast not too appealing either, over cooked, warmed up bacon & sausage, sloppy scrambled eggs! Stewed coffee...the toast was nice though! There seemed to be no dress code at either... More

Stayed here last weekend. After reading some negative reviews had a few worries but thankfully these were unfounded. Our room, 205 was spacious and very well equipped. Including a really big telly with a great picture! The bed was very large as was the bathroom. A good supply of toiletries was provided along with tea coffee and milk. Additionally, both... More

When booking the Spa Break, we were informed that the rooms were in an exceptional level of comfort and repair. I upgraded to Exec-Suite Double Level to make this a special Spa-weekend as they were advertising. Upon entering the Hotel, What a shock! People were playing cards in the corridors and groups of people sitting in chairs in the corridors,... More

If you like your room to be clean don't stay here. The room I was checked into had debris over the floor and dirty coffee cups. The bathroom had dirty towels and used tissues! I rang reception to complain and after 15 minutes it still wasn't answered so I went down to find one receptionist faffing about on the computer... More
