A group of us stayed here recently while in the area and it could not have been more perfect. John & Mary are the perfect hosts and made us all feel very welcome. Lovely cosy cottage, plenty of parking for all of us which included a van and a Rally Car as were competing in the Plains Rally which started... More

I visited Heath Cottage in March 2015, having completed part of the Offa's Dyke national trail, and in May 2015 at the start of the final section through to Chepstow. Having stayed in many different places during the walk I would say that this was my favourite overall. John and Mary are charming hosts, who understand the needs of walkers... More

I am very late leaving this review however to cannot be more complementary about this B&B. We could not have been treated better including lifts to and from the local pub and the Offa's Dyke path. The rooms were immaculate and the breakfast and packed lunch superb. Grateful and sincere thanks. Adrian Neilson

John and Mary were wonderful hosts and made us feel very much at home. The lemon drizzle cake and cup of tea in front of the open fire was perfect. When we return to the area we could not think of a better place to stay than Heath Cottage!

We were greeted by Mary with tea in the garden and hot out the oven lemon cake. John and Mary were wonderful hosts, the rooms were large, the plumbing worked and breakfast was delish. A wonderful stay!

Just back from a lovely UK visit made especially memorable with a night at Heath Cottage, - looking back we wish it had been longer. Mary and John made us feel very welcome in their comfortable home, it was lovely to see the chicken and ducks outside our bedroom window. The mornings breakfast was simply the best, with home made... well, there are several sorts of b and b - the very fussy, and dank and miserable, and the straightforwardly straightforward and comfortable and clean and welcoming and hospitable - like heath cottage. Give me a proper bathroom any day rather than a shoe cupboard with a shower tray 'en suite' that you can't swing even a kitten in and... More

Stayed here walking Offa's Dyke - right on the trail, perfect! Mary and John were wonderful hosts, very welcoming and interesting to talk too. They don't offer dinner here but John took us down to The Sun Inn, a local pub, which was absolutely fantastic, and picked us back up afterwards - excellent recommendation! The whole house is beautiful and... More

What a friendly hospitable place on a small farm just by Offa,s Dyke. Cake, delicious homemade jams and incredibly kind, interesting hosts. Can't recommend enough. On a small holding with sheep, chickens and cats. Beautiful old house in a great location

Me and two friends stayed here last week as an overnight stop on the Offa's Dyke Path. We were welcomed with tea and home made lemon drizzle cake, excellent. The rooms were immaculate and John gave us a lift to a distant pub for dinner as the local one wasn't doing food. Our breakfast was the best on the walk,... More
