We stayed in 2013 with Leah and Kevin while hiking the length of Hadrians Wall. The experience was so amazing and personal that we focused on it as a destination when returning to complete a section that we couldn't finish in our last trip. Leah makes the best ploughmans supper and sticky toffee pudding (advanced notice) and her attention to... More

My husband and I stayed at Carraw B&B for two nights. If you're looking for a place to stay right near Hadrian's Wall, don't look any further: Carraw is great! Our hosts were kind and helpful, our room was spotless and the bed very comfortable, the view was fabulous, and breakfast was absolutely delicious. Thank you Leah and Kevin!

We have just had 4 days here and loved every minute. The views from the house are spectacular. The rooms are so comfortable and the welcome really warm. If you want to visit Hadrian's Wall country, I couldn't recommend anywhere better. I am sure we will be back

We stayed one night last week enroute from York to Edinburgh. I chose Carraw based on the reviews listed here as well as the amazing view! Did not disappoint. We too had some trouble finding it - as mentioned in another review - but without GPS we were on our own. Talked to Kevin by phone and found it no... More

Perfect location for a B&B, in the heart of Hadrian's Wall country and close to many sites of interest. Nice pleasant B&B which we only stayed in for a night. Leah was very cheerful and welcoming and made us a lovely breakfast before our day of walking.

I don't usually stay in B & B's but this one is excellent. The nearly completed new wing should make it even better. Leah and Kevin Vigars are amazing hosts, the breakfast is 5 star, as are the rooms. Spotless, beautifully maintained and perfectly located for exploring Northumberland or en route to Scotland. We will be back.

Great set up here, very pleasant family that run it, but their own accommodation is completely separate through a different set of doors. Licensed for alcohol sales, but its a bit limited. Its on the old roman road, so very quiet but that's what we wanted. No mobile signal (again that's what we wanted) but the owners will let you... More

The B&B is done to a very high standard. The room was lovely. Food and wine were great. It is very isolated, so if you have limited travel options (we were on bicycles) we can recommend the prebookable evening snack. It was more than enough . They even provided locks and racking for the bikes.

First class bed and breakfast right on the doorstep of Hadrian's Wall. The address is Humshaugh, but it's not actually in Humshaugh, it's on the B6318 pretty much in the middle of nowhere, so if you haven't got satnav then find it before it gets dark! We had a really cosy, warm and comfortable room with good views. Liked the... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay here and it was faultless. Beautiful room with a great view of the rural area. It was in a perfect location close to the towns of Hexham and Corbridge. Owners were really friendly and plenty of choice at breakfast time as well. Locally sourced produce and they even gave my wife... More
