This Hotel is excellent. The rooms are very comfortable and in a beautiful setting with wonderful views. All staff and manager were excellent and could not do enough for you. The food is lovely with a good variety. We all have a extremley relaxing weekend. The breakfast is amazing with a great choice and lots of it. I would recommend... More

We have just spent a lovely weekend at this hotel for a function on Sat night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the hotel was beautiful, the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and everyone went above and beyond the call of duty to help make us feel welcome. I highly recommend the welsh lamb that we... More

Good hotel , but we were disappointed that our shower didn't work properly, intermittant freezing cold and scalding hot water and not very powerful flow of water. Evening meal at function was very good and service also good , however disappointed with service at breakfast as there wasn't any greeting or explanation when we arrived and ended ended up sharing... Took a party of twenty here for our pre Christmas 'do'. Rooms were excellent and staff were very helpful. Food was good and all prices reasonable. Entertainment 'Lady Ga Ga' was spot on. A very late bar for some of our party. Breakfast was first class. Easy parking, splendid old building with a bit of history and good rural location.... More

Recently held my daughters wedding reception at this fantastic venue. Sincere thanks to Sean and all his staff, particularly John whose attention to detail and great organisational skills ensured that everything ran smoothly and everyone was kept happy. Service was great and the food very good. The venue was decorated well and looked lovely. The rooms were clean and very... More

.............or so is how long our party has been coming back to The Old Rectory making up-to four visits a year. It does nothing brilliantlly but everything very well & continues to improve. Shaun and his team really look after us (ten on average in the party) in every area and the way things are it is unlikely we would... More

Stayed here to for two nights for my brother's wedding. It was excellent as both a venue and as a hotel. Our room was a good size and the other rooms I saw too were very nice. Food was excellent and bar prices very reasonable. Venue for wedding was excellent and staff were attentive and couldn't do more for us.... More

Lovely house, in the heart of Beacon National Park. Great breakfast, dinner OK but not much to write home about. Junior suites/ suites really worth the extra ££ as they are very comfortable, have entirely renovated bathrooms, offering both bathtub and shower and offer spacious living space. On the contrary standard rooms appear to be a bit more basic, in... More

Excellent food except for uncooked veg. catered for 120 people in a room big enough for 90 people. Service was bit slow and tight due to lack of space. Wonderful grounds. Perfect for photos. Perfect place for small weddings or functions.

We booked in on Friday for my Brother's wedding which was at The Old Rectory on Saturday. Shaun assisted us with checking in and couldn't be more helpful, he upgraded us to a bigger family room to fit in our Daughter's travel cot which was a lovely room (4). We were blown away with the friendly service from Shaun, Sophie,... More
