we ate at this restaurant recently, we received a very warm welcome, we looked forward to the meal after the restaurant had received it recent Michelin award. the food was very creative and a lot of thought had gone into the presentation of the dishes, but a 5 course taster with no meat option I thought was very strange. these... Well, we can see why this beautiful country house has been owned in the past by Royalty. Nestled in a secluded valley and surrounded by a beautiful nature reserve, this place is as welcoming as its surroundings. Our room was so peaceful, comfortable and homely and our breakfast was divine. We'd not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who... More

A welcoming and friendly hotel in a beautiful setting. Rooms are very different each named and themed after a famous artist. The owner was very helpful and made you feel very welcome. The Chef and his team produced some amazing culinary delights - very innovative creations that not only tasted great but also used techniques to set the scene -... More

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. The service was very good without being overpowering and we had a marvellous, relaxing time. The food was superb and the kitchen staff deserve every accolade available. Their one Michelin star is probably just the start of their journey. Excellent in every way - we will definitely be back.

A pretty hotel set in the midst of an RSPB reserve and an arboretum. We went there as we've had a rather bad time of late and wanted to be spoiled. We came to the right place. It's wonderfully comfortable, calm and relaxing. The staff are attentive without being fussy and there are none of those irritating notices telling you what... More

We had a wonderful meal at this beautiful hotel - wish we could have stayed too! The food is incredible, the staff are really friendly and attentive, the wine was fantastic and the surroundings are beautiful - inside & out. Well worth the splashing out - and it's not cheap - but for a special occasion it can't be beaten.

Ynyshir Hall is a real gem and we thoroughly enjoyed our two nights here with our son. We were generously upgraded to the studio suite in an adjoining cottage. This was well laid-out and very comfortable and has a more neutral decor than the public rooms in the main house. The hotel has a Victorian period feel and the grounds... More

This is a fantastic hotel, very friendly and relaxed. We were made to feel very welcome and Joan is a wonderful host, a natural at hospitality. The hotel feels like your own country house. We stayed in a studio room and I would highly recommend, especially if you are staying for a few days. The evening meal was great, the... More

Ynyshir Hall is an intimate "country house" hotel in northwest Wales that sets itself apart by its decorative emphasis on the paintings of owner Rob Reen and by its excellent cuisine. Rob and his wife, Joan (who is the hotel's general manager) have put a lot of themselves into Ynyshir Hall and it comes through in the look and feel... More

We went for a family birthday treat, the hotel is wonderful, tranquil, lovely grounds and meals to die for. Ynyshir is set in a quiet valley with mature grounds, it has country walks with hideaway places for picnics or hide and seek! The house has a lovely warm feel with comfortable reception rooms, we had a lovely champagne afternoon tea... More
