This is a fantastic hotel, very friendly and relaxed. We were made to feel very welcome and Joan is a wonderful host, a natural at hospitality. The hotel feels like your own country house. We stayed in a studio room and I would highly recommend, especially if you are staying for a few days. The evening meal was great, the... More

Ynyshir Hall is an intimate "country house" hotel in northwest Wales that sets itself apart by its decorative emphasis on the paintings of owner Rob Reen and by its excellent cuisine. Rob and his wife, Joan (who is the hotel's general manager) have put a lot of themselves into Ynyshir Hall and it comes through in the look and feel... More

We went for a family birthday treat, the hotel is wonderful, tranquil, lovely grounds and meals to die for. Ynyshir is set in a quiet valley with mature grounds, it has country walks with hideaway places for picnics or hide and seek! The house has a lovely warm feel with comfortable reception rooms, we had a lovely champagne afternoon tea... More

Lovely, small luxury Relais and Chateaux hotel (the only one in Wales) for touring the beautiful welsh countryside.Owner-managed with good service and excellent food. Try the 8-course tasting menu or the daily market menu.

We had a night at Ynyshir Hall a few weeks ago and it really was magical. The offer at the time was dinner, bed and breakfast and if you booked 24 hours ahead they would give you the best room available. As it was midweek we ended up in the best suite which was fabulous with beautiful views of the... More

My wife and I spent just the one night here to celebrate a significant occasion. We have a property a few miles away and so know this exquisite part of Mid-Wales well, but to see it from the luxury of Ynyshir Hall gave it a new perspective. The hotel and grounds are delightful - well appointed and tranquil and the... More

Really enjoyed our two night stay here, we hadnt booked dinner as I wasnt sure if it would be ok for our 7 year old son to eat in the restaurant, but it worked out really well. Yes it is expensive, but the whole experience from standard of service, the food, the quality of the rooms and the location made... More

My husband and I stayed at Ynyshir Hall for three nights for my birthday in June. The hotel and grounds are very peaceful and tranquil. We enjoyed some wonderful walks in the very pleasant countryside and in the nearby RSPB sanctuary. The room was very spacious but the bed was disappointing. Heavy blankets, not a quilt and the mattress did... More

I visited this hotel for business back in 2010. If I knew trip advisor back then I would've definitely posted how happy I was staying there! All I can say is that is the most perfect hotel I have ever been to! It's a dream come true! Lively rooms, lovely garden, lovely food and their lovely dog Oscar is just... More

I have planned a whole trip this year simply for the pleasure of returning to Ynyshir Hall - it feels like a home away from home and there has been a new chef added to the mix who is surely set to guarantee the dining room a Michelin star, if there's any justice... then there's the newly built "wellness" centre...
