Lovely hotel in beautiful setting snuggled between hills within easy walking distance of the Dolgoch Falls. Everything was very clean with all the facilities one would expect of a small family run hotel in the country. Our hosts were second to none - they made themselves available, were very approachable and always helpful but without ever becoming intrusive. Breakfast was... More

I took my mother and husband here for coffee back in June. Had a delicious coffee with millionaires shortbread and cake. Remarked to the waitress at the time, that everything tasted really good and was very nicely presented, which we really appreciated.

I can only echo the rest of the reviews when I say this is a lovely place. Very clean hotel, hosts are friendly and helpful, tearooms are pleasant and fairly priced and the breakfast is great. The small and cosy bar is open in the evening for a nightime drink. Peaceful location but close enough to drive to great local... More

We stayed here overnight having booked a double room with en-suite. We had a warm and friendly welcome and showed to our room which was spotlessly clean. The hotel is in a superb location with a narrow gauge railway at the rear and walks to the falls. We had a freshly cooked breakfast which was spot on. There are tea... More

My husband is local to the area so we knew the location of this hotel was good. We received the warmest of welcomes arriving mid afternoon. We decided to take afternoon tea before a walk to the stunning Dolgoch Falls. A wonderful pot of tea and the most delicious carrot cake we have ever tasted - it was just what... More

I finally got to stay in Dolgoch Falls Hotel this year. I was not disappointed. The rooms were nicely furnished and very clean. The owners were helpful and friendly and we were made to feel very much at home. It's a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting! Thank you Alison & Graeme.

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel, it is a small hotel, with very friendly owners. The breakfast and evening meals were very good. The setting of the hotel is very good, you can walk up to the falls in a few minutes and the views from the front are excellent, it is ideally placed for a relaxing break

Stopped here for food and drink while my husband went off to photograph the nearby narrow gauge railway. Most impressed! I chose a coronation chicken sandwich on brown. It was served with a very nice salad garnish. The coronation chicken was carefully spiced - quite warm without being too curry-fied. It contained large pieces of chicken breast. My pot of... More

The rooms may be compact but the cleanliness, warm welcome, dinner and breakfast are definitely first rate, beautiful place to stay. I was spending a weekend away touring round the beautiful Welsh countryside & this was the perfect base for the weekend, would definitely recommend.

Having walked from the public car park at Dolgoch to the railway station then onto the lower and upper falls we worked up a thirst. We called into the hotel and sat in the seated area within the garden. We ordered 2 pots of tea and having seen the freshly baked cakes on offer couldn't resist trying a slice or... More
