Just had a weekend away at Tarn House in a touring caravan. What a place this is, everyone from the girls on reception to the groundsmen are extremely helpful and friendly. An example of this one chap could not get reception for his tv so the ground staff sorted a coaxe lead to plug into main supply. The shower blocks... More

Very quiet location in the middle of the countryside. Newly laid out hardstandings with adequate space for awning. Water in/out. Beware pitch 5 needs more than normal 7 Meter inlet pipe. We used our barrel. The showers and general facilities are outstanding and clearly new. If you want a drink in the bar at the house beware! It's a long... More

Good value touring facility for campervans and caravans. All facilities are pristine, and of the highest standard, with the heated wash rooms more like hotel ensuite bathrooms than that normally found in campsites. Added to this are the benefits of a friendly and supportive team of staff, all of whom are anxious to make ones stay as comfortable as pleasurable... More

Hired a static caravan for the May bank holiday weekend here. Nice site very quiet not a lot to do on it for children. Please please do not purchase wi fi from this site. Yes you have to pay for it which my 9 year son decided he wanted it so he could play his games on his I pad.... More

We stayed here for the bank holiday weekend and free wifi as advertised although it didn't state it was not in the caravan. It was just in the bar / hotel area although we couldn't receive it there either. My 9 year old son plays on his I pad so we decided to get him 48 hours at £8 but... More

Showers greatly improved since last visit and pitches look lovely only problem is we had great difficulty getting on and off them having to trouble seasonal pitch owners opposite to move their car which must be very annoying and frustrating for them .the position was not helped by inappropriately positioned wooden planters on corners of pitch .we were not the... We have just spent a week at the Tarn House Inn and we came away completely satisfied. The Inn itself has been recently decorated and everywhere was clean and tidy. Our bedroom was large and looked over part of the dales with television and tea and coffee facilities. Two bottles of drinking water was provided every day free of charge.... More

The actual hotel is very clean and well maintained, however the booking description did not mention the caravan site on the grounds. On check in we were greeted with super friendly staff who showed us to our room. Our first impressions of the room were good, it was newly decorated, very clean and quite spacious and a lovely view of... More

Stayed 2 nights in a premier room which offers great views of the garden and countryside. Lovely clean room with good ensuite facilities. Continental breakfast only but good choice and overseen by a friendly and helpful waitress. Although evening meals are available Fri & Sat! It is more of a licensed B & B. Good bar which appears to be... More

Very quiet hotel with extremely helpful friendly staff. Only a couple of gripes, however if you know in advance it won't be an issue. They don't do evening meals, but do allow you to bring in takeouts - which they have menus for and will get you a plate/cutlery etc if you ask. As it's a bit out of town... More
