Stayed for 3 nights in July. Comfortable, good-sized bedroom and bathroom - twin, room 9. Hotel has a caravans on site, but is screened from the caravans by mature trees. There is a children's playground several hundred yards from the hotel, but no noisy entertainments. The hotel is about five minutes drive out of Skipton. Very friendly, cheerful and helpful... More

Don't stay here! One star at best July-14 for 2 nights at touring area. Crammed in, Touring area is next to access road and very noisy from 7:00am to 2:00am (inc taxis etc). Site tractor & vans start knocking around without a care at 7:00am. One scabby shower for 14 vans. The toilet block is inadequate and ugly, the disposal... More

What a treat this place is, hidden away on the outskirts of Skipton, we didn't even know it was there. The restaurant was really quiet and we did not have high expectations. The staff all really friendly and when the food came, what a treat. My husband had liver with crispy bacon on a huge pile of creamy mashed potato,... More

Really friendly receptionist. We stayed just the one night in our camper. The touring section is small but plenty of room between pitches. Toilets and shower (yes just the one) very clean which you appreciate when you've been touring a while. Although it's signposted as an Inn as well, which is why we went there, they only do food at... After a 2 weeks holiday in Italy in September we stopped in Skipton for 1 night on the way back from the airport. The first impression was excellent-it looked like a welcoming old-fashioned building. I think we had Suite 5 which has a 4 poster bed. OMG the best and most comfortable bed I ever slept in with loads of... More

Not a lot to say really, an average Sunday lunch. Very quiet when we walked in, no one on 'reception.' Dining room quiet and the carvery looked very forlorn and neglected, but the meat turned out ok, (cannot say the same for the veg.), apart from the beef which was well overcooked - but I do like mine rare, so... We stayed with our touring caravan arriving on Easter Monday. Work has obviously been done on the touring site but we still found it a bit tight backing our small caravan on to the plot, I'm not sure that they have thought this part of the site through. The views over the fields are very pleasant. However, I had to... More

We visited the Tarn House touring park a few weeks ago. OMG, what a dump! The approach to be site seemed positive with pretty flowers blooming along the lane, as we approached what appeared to be the caravan storage area at the bottom of the site..turned out to be the touring pitches, my face turned to horror! There is no... More

Decided to visit Skipton Xmas Market at the last minute and found this hotel via internet . On arrival ( 8pm) we were warmly met and efficiently checked in by the multi tasked barman/porter/ handyman. The room we were allocated was no.3, a large family room overlooking the gardens. Fantastic log fire was burning in the bar area so instead... More

All I can say is what a dreadful site this was. No warden, awful view, toilet facilities disgusting and only one shower for the site, which was full of dead leaves and so old. I can't express enough what a unkept touring park this was. We were booked in for 4 nights but left after 2. Basically it was a... More
