This was a disappointing place to stay. Room adequate but had to ask to be moved from first room as it smelled of cigarette smoke. They changed our room quickly into a smaller room that was smoke free and apologised. The place caters for sport fans with large screen TVs in all the public rooms. There was nowhere to escape... Have stayed at the Belfry many times but was a litte dissapointed this time. The room was warm and the bed comfy, but the shower was so corroded with limescale that the water flow was barely adquate. The plughole was also 'grotty' with lots of hair. Breakfast well cooked but missing some of the items. There were considerble building works... More

Only stayed one night, but had a Sunday carvery which consisted of a generous amount of meat and a good variety of vegetables. The rooms aren't overlarge but the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was very generous and the staff were very helpful indeed'

Often go here for a midweek dinner with a friend. Highly recommend the lasagne. It's delicious and great value for money. Pie is a bit disappointing (just a pastry lid when I had it). Proper pub grub. Extensive menu. Can get very busy but we've always found a table. Good atmosphere but it is definitely a pub atmosphere. There is... More

Breakfast was ok but heads-up, breakfast starts at 8am at weekends, not 7am. I may have been unlucky but the room I stayed in was generally broken. Door handles, tiles, lights, tv remote, stained carpets, no shower, generally not nice. Bar and evening food was good.

This is the second time I have eaten at the Belfry and I must say, the food was fantastic. The reason why I am writing this review is because it was our daughters Birthday and 7 of us went there for a Sunday Carvery the other day. They carved off 3 large slices of beef per plate and it was... More

I thought this hotel offered brilliant value for the £35 I paid. It is cheaper to book directly through the hotel I found . I had Rm 8.The rooms was well furnished with a double bed and en-suite with plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits. Rooms are motel style in a block at back of pub.WIFI in room. They provided... More

At £60 for 2 off us including breakfast,, great price, room was in a block at the back away from the pub, pleasantly surprised when opening the door, nice clean and inviting. Breakfast was very good, and pleasant staff. Only niggle was the water was scalding hot very quickly.

We arrived at the Belfry (4 adults, 5 children under 7yo) with only 5mintues left before they stopped serving food. The staff were fabulous. No complaints about the children just wonderful welcoming smiles which is rare with young, slightly muddy children. The food wasn't the best I've ever had but it was reasonably priced, arrived quickly and the children's portiions... More

We thought we would give the Belfry a try for Sunday lunch as we enjoyed the evening meal we had here last year - and we were not disappointed !! Meats cooked to perfection ( choice of 3 ) and very generous portions - good selection of freshly cooked veg, Yorkshire puds and great roast potatoes ! We were all... More
