The hotel is in a superb spot for ski in/out skiing but don't stay here if you are a party goer and don't want to be stuck in the hotel four nights a week (as access into town via the lift is limited). The food was plentyful and varied (even in the last week of the season), it was decent... More

We loved this hotel and find it hard to fault it. It is reached by Gondola from the town of Morzine. It is a couple of minutes walk from the Gondola, but there is a skidoo that will pick your luggage up / drop it off as required / if requested. The staff were friendly and spoke great English, but... This is a great location, have been now 3 times. Thought the hotel had been done up, but it hasn't. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The access lift is now much better since my last visit, it's now the plenty lift which has been replaced a few years ago. Pity it still only let's you into town on 3... More

Stayed here for the 7 days over Easter. The only positive being it had direct access to the slopes, the food was awful, service dreadful, and owing to the thinness of the walls, very noisy. To be honest the whole hotel needs refurbishing. Don't get drawn in by a deal, pay the extra and stay somewhere else! P.S. if you... More

Dear guest, First, thank you for having shared your feelings during your vacation in Viking Hotel***. We offer an extensive breakfast with sweet and salty. At lunch, you can choose various entrances / dishes, from salad to burger through a tartiflette, on the very sunny terrace facing the slopes ! At dinner, we have a choice with a buffet of... More

Had a really good break here skiing in March this year. Ski in and ski out was a real bonus with snow on the doorstep!! Rooms not too spacious but you don't spend much time there in reality and most of the time you are looking at the insides of your eyelids! Food was plentiful and tasty and there was... More

This was a great hotel for a week's ski-ing with the family. It is at the top of the Pleney lift, looking down on Morzine (possibly a disadvantage if you're really after the nightlife in the village, which we weren't). You ski in and ski out, which is a boon (highlighted when you see the folk humping their skis in... More

Although location is beautiful, you are completely cut off from the village. The cable car runs from the town until 8pm but after that you are totally isolated. The food is awful. The options last night were shark with vanilla and turkey, which was a red meat with knuckles. The fruit is brown and bruised and the same every day... More

Stayed here for a week last week and we were really impressed. It is a very clean and comfortable 3 star hotel located on the ski hill at the top of the Pleney Gondola, with fantastic views on clear days. Breakfast is buffet style with a wide range to suit most hungry skiers, dinner was mostly a choice of main... More

Excellent location to literally ski in & out. The hotel can only be reached by cable car but on arrival reception supply a day pass to return to the village after dropping of luggage. As previously mentioned the lift only runs until 8pm most evenings so you are isolated once the lift stops. Th staff are very friendly and rooms... More

On a short ski trip we found everything to be very good - friendly and helpful staff, good rooms (3rd floor), good food, etc. Remote from the (party) town of Morzine and hence limited après-ski (check the lift opening times), but ideal for quick access to slopes and for door-step skiing. All in all very good value for money and... More
