The hotel in itself is situated perfectly. The decoration could need a revamp, it's getting dated and needs a kick. Reception and service are good but if you are expecting to get a good sleep, please, thing again. The walls are extremely thin, the doors that look over the beach might as well not be there, as we could hear... More

What a shame; a hotel on the promenade, bang in the middle with a fabulous view of the bay, but this dear old hotel desperately needs a refurbishment. On the one hand it's quite nice to stay in a traditional seaside hotel, on the other hand the careworn and careless attention to detail is sad at best. The bathroom unit... More

Nice hotel even if a little bit tired. Good location. But if you have a big pushchair it is very difficult and tiring to go to your room and leave the hotel. Not a hotel for a family with young kids but for a couple it is ideal. The beds are very good.

In a slightly tired hotel. Public areas and landings could do with refurbishment but room was modern and clean, bathroom spacious and comfortable bed. Staff were friendly, welcome and attentive. Good value and would stay again. Whilst out of town close to casino, we enjoyed lovely promenade walk along the coast to Royan- plenty of restaurants to choose aroun the marina

We spent two nights at this hotel, which really is in need to refurbishment. We arrived early, so went in to drop off our bags and got a very hostile reception. Were told we were too early to check in (which we completely understood). So explained we just wanted to drop off our bags and park the car. However, we... More

This hotel is impressively located facing directly on to a beautiful sandy bay. Our room was on the 3rd floor (there is a lift) with a sea view and a balcony from where we enjoyed an ever-changing vista of sand, waves, windsurfers, fishing huts on stilts and a lighthouse on the horizon. The room was comfortable and spacious and even... More

Big old hotel on the sandy beach front. Ideal if you want a swim or paddle. Staff speak good English and happy to help. No parking, although not a problem off season. Let us park our bikes I their function room for security. Whilst no restaurant plenty to choose from nearby.

We stayed three nights at this hotel on the top floor directly overlooking the 400metre cove -affording great relaxation and a blessing in poor weather to watch and hear the breaking waves . An idylic location in the off peak season on the western fringe of Royan, away from the commercial centre. Just a stroll to a choice of restuarants.... More
