We stayed here with a large group on an organised package with Rail Discoveries (who operate under various name including Treyn). Rooms are varied, luck of the draw which you get. Ours was at back of hotel overlooking a square, OK 3 star standard, small flat screen TV on wall, large table and two chairs and capacious clothes storage unit.... More

This hotel is a typical French 3 star hotel. It does not have all the luxuries you get in larger establishments but the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is VERY good. The rooms are small with a quirky layout on every floor. Some rooms have been recently decorated and have a fresh appearance.

My daughter and I have just returned from a 5 night Rail Discoveries holiday based at this hotel. We were initially given a double bed - even though we had asked for a twin room. The only twin room available was room 503 and it stank. A horrible room with no outside window, a tiny toilet and a sink that... More

Well located hotel in an attractive village , handy for touring the area . Three star hotel with no pretensions , friendly welcoming staff . Clean room , newly decorated , but no frills .no hairdryer provided for a 5 night stay We were with a group so the 4 course meal had no choices at all , and the... More

We arrived late after a long day's drive from Barcelona, to be met by the owners with friendly smiles and a warm welcome. We had a lovely meal and a good nights sleep.Just outside of Souillac is an amazing viaduct. Which added to our visit.

We were fully prepared for the quirkiness of this conveniently situated hotel. However, we were not quite prepared for the first room we were offered. Bathing would have caused concussion due to the bath being situated under the sloping roof. A shower was out of the question since it was hand held over the bath and the only way to... More

We stayed at the Grand Hotel as part of a party of 40 people, travelling with Rail Discoveries. It was a wonderful base for our holiday. A quirky French hotel. The food was excellent even though it was specially prepared for our party and lots of it especially the four course dinner each evening. (As much wine as you can... More

We were part of a group consisting of about 30 travellers. All couples seemed to have a different style and size of room, many experiencing interesting and sometimes amusing features. We had a tiny bedroom and bathroom, but enjoyed the balcony that was attached. The meals were not exactly fine dining but were quite enjoyable and both the food and... More

We were part of a group, we all ate together. The meals were just about acceptable, with very little choice. There were copious amounts of wine included, obviously not top quality. The rooms were basic, not many facilities, a smelly bathroom, uncomfortable bed. The hotel is very well situated, being very central and in the old town. Better food was... More

We visited as part of an organised holiday party. The breakfasts for the group tended to be a little on the penny pinching side and evening meals were similarly formulaic but generally satisfactory. The food in the main restaurant or on the terrace looked excellent. The rooms vary apparently from cramped to large with a balcony, I would suggest that... More
